  she has won many awards on the speech and debate circuits, and qualified for national tournaments.

  success in these interscholastic activities requires extensive research and persuasive skills.

  xxx also holds the degree of special distinction, as a member of the national forensic league.

  due to its nature of metro, state, and national interscholastic competition, the successful high school forensics student serves by not only representing his or her school but also by representing his or her community as well.

  one of the requirements in my advanced class is to prepare lectures and guidance for the beginners.

  with xxx s superior knowledge and involvement in the political sciences, she developed a strong sense of confidence with a charming attitude.

  therefore, i could always depend on her to set the best example as an instructor.

  because of her natural leadership abilities, xxx was selected as our debate captain.

  on account of her mature approach to her responsibilities, i often thought of xxx as a colleague.

  since her classmates, my fellow teachers, and i will always hold her in the highest esteem, i sincerely recommend xxx stone as the ideal candidate for matriculation at eastern little hope state.

  Martha is bright, energetic, compassionate and genuinely well rounded.

  Her grades have been consistently above average in all of her courses, and she has actively participated in a diverse assortment of extracurricular activities ranging from track and field and chorus to the school yearbook and our drama club.

  Martha has also spent considerable time outside the school involved in the community.

  This has included work with Meals on Wheels and volunteering 10 hours a week at one of our area's shelters for battered and abused women.

  They think so much of her at the shelter they have offered her a paid internship for next summer.

  Previously, this internship had never been awarded to anyone before the end of their college sophomore year.

  Despite all the preparations that will be required for going off to college next fall, Martha told me she is absolutely thrilled about this opportunity and feels it will enhance her university studies.

  Unlike many students who are not sure which field to pursue, Martha has made clear to us all that her goal is to do Social Work.

  To this end she has worked tirelessly in our pilot program for mentoring Special Education students mainstreamed into our school.

  In closing, let me take a moment to recount an incident which I believe speaks volumes about the superior nature of this candidate.

  Two years ago I was returning from lunch to my office when I saw ahead of me in the hallway 90 pound Martha, arms stretched out between two 180+ pounnd students, one a Special Ed student and the other a school bully.

  Other students were standing by motionless or laughing while Martha showed the leadership and courage to immediately put an end to the embarrassing fight that had erupted.

  It is clear to me as I hope it is to you that this young woman, Martha Holden, is an exceptional candidate, one that would contribute greatly to any program.

  I wholeheartedly recommend her and wish her the very best in all future endeavors.

  美国高中留学申请条件

  一、年龄

  美国高中是9-12年级,相当于国内的初三至高三。

  国内学生初二毕业至高二在读学生均可申请入读美国高中。

  国内学生读完初二后可以直接申请入读美国高中9年级,而国内高二在读学生建议申请入读美国高中10年级。

  一般美国高中的入读最低年龄要求为14岁。

  二、有推荐信

  申请美国留学时,校方会要求申请者提供英文和数学老师的推荐信。

  除此之外,家长和学生自己也应考虑到,除了这两个科目的老师外,什么老师或熟人来写推荐信是最能突出学生的优点及强项的。

  毕竟一所名牌高中每年的申请者数以千计,要让自己脱颖而出并不容易。

  三、面试(Interviews)

  美国高中申请基本都需要面试。

  面试一般分为,现场面试,电话面试以及视频面试。

  在面试中由于校方录取工作人员可以和申请人直接对话,因此能否给面试人留下良好的印象(包括交流能力、语言能力等)还是很重要的。

  四、你的心理承受能力

  中美文化的差异,加上年龄小,周围都是陌生人,所以在美国留学生活会有着较大的心理压力。

  对此,嘉际留学专家建议计划申请美国高中留学的学生,一定要在国内争取更多的锻炼,提高自己的心理能手能力,多参与校外活动,增长见识,扩大交际圈。

  五、学习与运动能力

  美国很注重学生的自主学习能力,相较于国内的教育方式,在美国读高中的学生需要提高自主学习能力。

  此外美国也是很注重体育运动的国家,若你有一些体育特长,会更容易融入美国的校园,更能被美国本土学生接受,所以在国内多参加一些体育运动也是非常有必要的。

  六、学生申请自述

  学生自述(Personal Statement)一般需要学生自行撰写。

  可以做一下子自我介绍,兴趣爱好介绍,获奖或者课外活动介绍等。

  有些学校也会有自己设计的问卷调查表格,或者命题小作文让学生填写。

  这主要是让学校对学生有一个初步的认识。

  七、家长申请自述

  家长申请自述主要是要求家长介绍一下孩子。

  可以包括孩子的成长,性格,或认为孩子的优点,发展方向等情况以及自己的职业,家庭情况等。

  家长自述能让学校了解家长眼中的孩子以及孩子的成长环境。

  这对以后学校照顾学生会有所帮助。
