“绕口令”的最大特点是“拗口”。它是学习语言艺术(如相声、快板等等)的必修课。可以锻炼人“舌”、“唇”、“齿”的相互配合的技巧，被形象地称为“口腔体操”。练习绕口令最好从儿童时期开始，尤其是方言地区。
