　　Dear Editor,

　　I am writing this letter to reflect some problems I came across recently and. appeal to the improvement of the service industry.

　　This weekend I bought an English-Chinese dictionary in a bookstore near my home since its cover is elaborately designed. But when I went home and read carefully, I found that the several pages of the dictionary have been cracked and befouled. What is worse, the misprints spread everywhere in the dictionary and seriously affect my comprehension. Since there was such damage and misprint to the dictionary, I went to the bookstore to require for a replace. But to my surprise, the staff of the bookstore turn down my request rudely and even denied the poor quality of the dictionary.

　　It goes without saying that today's face-paced and market-oriented economy calls for much higher standard for service industry. However, to my regret, many of the commercials fail to achieve this standard and the quality of the staff needs to be improved. It's self-evident that the poor quality of practitioners in the service industry will not only deeply disappoint customers but also hamper the development of our country's economy. As a result, I expect your newspaper to appeal to the service industry to attach more importance to the service improvement.

　　All of my family, especially me, like watching movies. I love English original fi]ms best. In the past, whenever we wanted to watch movies, we would have to go to the cinemas. And it always took a long time for us to buy our tickets. We didn＇t feel at ease in the cinema. There were too many people and they made too much noise. What＇s more, we can hardly watch an English original film. Now things get better. Father bought a DVD. So I can watch movies any time I want to. 　　Chinese education is always believed to be intense and inhuman, because so many children bury themselves in studying all the time. The program for foreign students studied in China became hot issue, which attracts Britain people to keep searching the Asian education. Now they make the plan to send three students to study in Korea.

　　The three students contain different levels. They lived with different roomates. The first day they met the big problem of waking up. The foreign student with highest level felt hard to answer the question, while for most Korean students, they felt it was so easy.

　　Good idea is different for everyone and is distinct each time you receive it. Sometimes I receive advice and don’t realize what it is until I actually need to apply it.

　　Whenever I seek guidance I turn to my friends, parents, acquaintances, and teachers because I respect their judgment. Given a difficult decision to make, even though I know what their response will be, I still look to them for help. I search for their understanding to reinforce what I already know I need to do. It’s easier for me to make a decision because when I hear the same solution being said by someone else I know someone is behind me, supporting my choice even if I mess up. They can show me options that would work for my situation and they won’t try and mislead me by giving advise that could cause me to get hurt.

　　When I receive good advice I’m never led by the advisor to think that I have to do what they suggest. The advisor aids me in deciding what’s best for me. They lay down choices that I can make and then it’s up to me to decide the course that I want to take. I sometimes go with the most logical solution and then other times decide to take the consequences that come with deciding to go the other way.

　　When we had written papers on why writing was important I had written that it helps people to communicate better because it teaches you how to express yourself, improving your communication skills. It’s the same idea with giving advice. The better grasp you have on language (which writing helps inquire) the more effective you’ll be at giving someone advice. They’ll better understand what you’re trying to get across to them and you’ll have an easier time of helping the advisee take your advice more seriously.
