　　从前，我是一个对英语一窍不通的人。而今，我经过了一番努力，终于学会了英语。

　　自从我被送到少年宫学习英语后，我的英语水平逐渐提高了。那是我第一次举手发言——我费劲心思练习读好了一篇英语课文后，十分想朗读给老师和同学们听听，但我又没有这样的勇气。原本我是想放弃，可是如果就这样白白浪费一次机会，那可多不划算呀。这可是表现自我的一次大好机会。经过心里的一番思想斗争，我的手终于举起来了！此时，我的心都快紧张得要蹦出来啦！突然，少年宫的老师叫我起来读课文，当时我吓了一跳。我慢慢的'地尝试着让我的身体离开椅子。当我开始滔滔不绝地朗读课文时，我的害怕、顾虑都抛到九霄云外了。待我坐下后，我为自己捏了一把冷汗。此刻，我的心情依然平静不下来。我想：我这次在全班同学面前一定出丑了！不料，老师点了点头，脸上露出满意的笑容。我心里沉重的大石头终于放下了！我不禁沉寂在欢乐和喜悦之中。因为这是我第一次迈向英语成功的步伐。自从这次的发言后，我对自己更加有信心了。快要期末时，我还代表我们班（少年宫的）参加了“英语口语大赛”。那次比赛，我发挥出了我最好的水平。虽说没有拿到好的名次，但这也是一种自我的挑战。

　　经历过这么多，我真正地感悟到一句话：万事开头难啊！但我只要努力去学习英语的话，我就一定能攀登上英语的高峰！

　　I made experiments to practise and apply what I had learnt from the books. Sometimes, I was so deeply indulged in my research that I forgot my meals and time. Now I have made great progress. Several of my research papers have been published.

　　The methods proposed in my papers have been proven to be valuable for the solution of some problems. I am very happy. The ladder of becoming a scientist is still far ahead, but I have climbed the first rung anyway.

And most of the prisons are good, they didn't want to tell the bad people where the other people were. They lived in very small houses. No good food to eat, no good water to drink.They had only twenty minutes to stay out side per day but they still said nothing. I think they are the heros in that century. I will follow their spirit.

On its head were bright eyes and big ears.

　　Then I saw the elephant rolling up some grass and putting it into its mouth with its nose. How interesting it was! Sometimes the little elephant was very naughty, but sometimes very quiet.
