2.教师教学方法的制约
“教学有法，教无定法。”恰当的教学方法能够使教学达到事半功倍的效果。这就要求教师具备高超的教学方法和技巧。然而在实际教学中，教师往往都不注重作文教学方法和技巧的研究，重复传统教学方式，致使学生丧失写作信心和兴趣。
二、初中英语作文教学策略
1.教师要更新教学观念
随着素质教育和课程教育改革的不断深入和发展，传统应试教育的理念已然不能适应当前的时代潮流。因此，初中英语教师应转变观点，对于英语作文的教学有一个全面、深刻、科学的认识，绝不能为了短期的目的，急功近利地让学生进行一些写作模板训练，而且应该有效结合学生的长短期发展，着力于激发学生的写作兴趣，启迪学生思维，促进学生英语水平和综合素质的提高。
2.教师要注重夯实基础
“万丈高楼，平地起”，如果说作文是一栋大厦，那么词汇就是这栋大厦的砖瓦，语法就是大厦的框架，二者缺一不可。英语基础知识是写作的基础，教师必须注重采用多种教学方法，紧抓学生基础知识的`教学。实践教学中，要求每一个学生牢牢掌握一个单元的单词、词组、习惯用语和句型，并且能够灵活应用。常常设置教学练习，帮助学生巩固知识，提高他们的英语思维和表达能力。
3.教师要注重教学方法
