international women's(iwd) day occurs on 8 march annually and is an occasion marked by women's groups aroud the world.the fist iwd was held on 19 march 1911 in german,austria,denmark and other eurpean countries.german women chose this day because this date in 1848 the prussian king,faced with an armed uprising,had promised many reforms,including an unfulfilled one of votes for women.
iwd today is an oppurtunity for women to come together and look back on a rich history of struggle for equality,justice, peace and development and to surpport this work in the present and future.

今天，我兴高采烈地来到学校。可是一进门便知道了一个坏消息，今天要英语考试，这让我一下子就紧张起来，再加上上一次考试成绩也不理想。老师说这张卷子很难，我更对自己没有了信心。
我迈着沉重的脚步来到座位上。一眨眼的功夫就到下午英语考试的时间了。我心中仿佛有块石头悬在半空中。考试开始了，那块石头几乎都到了喉咙口。而我的背上似乎有块冰放在上面，使我时不时地打个冷颤，头上也滴下一两滴冰凉的汗珠。手上又好像有一只小兔子，脚上好像系着两块重重的石头。不一会儿听力部分就完成了。接下去，就要做笔试部分了，我又打了几个冷颤。
我心脏跳动的速度迅速加快，笔尖一动一动的，脚也在不停的抖动。喉咙口也好像有一个一直咽不下去的东西，时间一分一秒的过去，我却无动于衷。忽然我的.脑海中闪现出爸爸常说的一句话：“失败不一定每次都失败，但放弃就一定是失败。”于是，我做了几个深呼吸，搓了搓手掌，擦了擦额前的冷汗，捂了捂胸口，平静了心情。心里暗暗对自己说加油加油。我拿起笔，低下头，又开始认真做卷子了。做完整张卷子我又认真地检查了一遍，长嘘了一口气。最后，我得到了一个不错的成绩——95分。
每当回想起这件事，我就会想起父亲对我的教诲：不管做什么事都不要放弃。父亲的教导将使我受益一生。
