　　今天下午要上英语课时，老师在黑板上写了一组英语单词是“raining cat sand dogs”,让我们讲一讲它的意思。我低下头思索着：cats,dogs是“猫”和“狗”的复数形式，表示“许多猫”和“许多狗”，raining是“雨”的意思。合起来是什么呢？我正在冥思苦想，有同学举起说说：“天上掉下来很多猫和狗。”顿时教室里的'同学们哄堂大笑起来，互相交头接耳，都在讨论这个词语的意思，最后还是老师解开了谜团。老师说：“同学们英语学得还可以，记住了每个单词的含义。”这几个单词合起来的意思是倾盆大雨。英语和汉语一样，一些单词和单词组合起来有特殊的含义、固定的用法，就像汉语的成语、谚语似的。刚才老师说的这几个单词合起来，就不是单个儿的意思了，而是“倾盆大雨”的意思。

　　下午，还是万里无云，大大太阳当空照。而我心情也一样，因为我要去学英语了。在路上，妈妈千叮咛万嘱咐：“说学英语一定要认真，一点也马虎不得，不然，就学不好读不准。”“哦，知道了。”我似懂非懂，怀着好奇的心情，不知不觉就来到了学英语的地方，在老师的指导下，来到了教室里。

　　过了一会儿，开始上课了。老师先教我们三个字母，还做了三个形状。接着，老师又教我们蜜蜂、大海、树的单词和音标，还做了手势。同学们跟老师一边读单词，一边做手势很快就学会了。老师见大家都会了，就玩了一个叫小火车的'游戏，轮到我了，老师问：“树怎么读？”我张口就念了起来，老师说我念的不错，还表扬了我。不一会儿，游戏结束了。老师又开始绘声绘色地把课讲了起来，大家也聚精会神地听着。大概是第一次接触英语的缘故，时间越长我就越听越糊涂，还忘了好几个单词，回家还把字母、音标、单词全搞乱了。晕！看样子还要继续努力呢！

　　这真是一堂精彩又糊涂的英语课啊！
