　　那是在五年级的时候，老师说：“邢台市教委要举办‘少年英语口语大赛’。”参加竞赛是我梦寐以求的，于是第一个报了名。经过学区、市教委选拔，结果我朝思暮想的愿望实现了。

　　我高高兴兴的.准备了讲演稿，又经老师修改了一番，便如饥似渴的演练起来。英语不同汉语那么好背，感情也不好表现，练了好几天，老师检验总是不合格，这次我真正体会到“台上一分钟，台下十年功”。经过几天的演练。终于，把她背了个滚瓜烂熟。好不容易等到了比赛的那一天，老师领着我们兴高采烈的奔赴邢台赛区。

　　进入赛场，我一看名单我在四十多号呢！心想还早呢，就在心里默默地背着稿子……转眼间，剩下几个人就轮到我了。就在我走上台的那一刹那，看到几十名参赛的学生和前排坐着的十几位评委，其中还有一个“老外”，蓦地心里多了几分紧张，就想揣着一只小兔子似的，“怦怦”直跳，只见老师在后面看我，从眼神中看得出是在鼓励我，给我加油！顿时，我有了胆量，我闭眼深吸一口气，轻轻松松的演讲起来，想春节放鞭炮一样，一气呵成。这时，我看到了评委满意的笑容，老师也高兴的笑了，我提在嗓子眼儿的石头也终于落了地。

　　回到学校，我天天等、日日盼。终于等到了比赛结果，刘校长满怀喜悦地来到我们教室，喜笑颜开的对我说：“浩鹏，你这次参加的英语口语竞赛得了二等奖。”我简直不敢相信自己的耳朵，惊讶地说：“是吗？”我接过证书，只见最上面写着四个金黄的苍劲有力的大字“荣誉证书”。这时我心花怒放抑制不住内心的喜悦，像一只快乐的小鸟飞回了家，把奖状高高举起，让爸爸妈妈们看，他们异口同声的夸我“孩子，真棒！”

　　这次英语口语竞赛，至今使我难以忘怀，是将成为我终生美好的回忆，也将是我终生的激励！
