　　我坐在考场上，满耳充斥着写字的“刷刷”声，翻卷子的“哗哗”声。而我则是气定神闲，不紧不慢，认真完成一道道题。

　　如果要问我为什么可以在大家愁苦的答题的时候，做到如此波澜不惊?那我可以毫不隐瞒地告诉你，那就是我早在寒假，因为英语老师当时向我们全班百词竞赛的预告，就每天认真复习巩固英语单词。虽然英语对我来说小菜一碟，在我五年级的时候就开始积累一些初中的单词，但是我还是认认真真，踏踏实实的进行复习，每天有计划地默写单词。

　　时间恍若是一支离弦的箭，寒假就不知不觉过完了。我早早的来到了学校，一走进班级，就听到每位同学都在认真复习。满教室只能听见他们不断的翻书声，要是谁现在往地上扔一根针你都可以非常清晰的听见。

　　十几分钟后，英语百词竞赛就在我的期待中开始了。班上的'同学个个视死如归收起了复习资料，只有我信心满面，跃跃欲试。

　　白花花的卷子发下来了！我赶忙浏览一遍，没有什么难的单词！在心底小小的雀跃之后，我马上稳住了心态，拿笔开始答题。周围不少同学都是临时抱佛脚，咬着笔杆，一筹莫展。而我答题顺风顺水，一路无阻。不一会儿，我就把所有答完了，竞赛时间才过去了一半。可是越到最后关头我越不敢懈怠，毕竟古语有云：“千里之堤，溃于蚁穴。”仔细检查，一个小瑕疵也不容放过。

　　最后，一切都在我的意料之中，我拿到了一等奖。我也切身体会到了毛泽东所说的“虚心使人进步”这句话的含义。
