如果说成长是一本著作，那么烦恼便是这部著作中的错字。在我的生活中，快乐是主旋律，但烦恼却是其中的小插曲，尤其是学英语让我烦不胜烦。
我的其它科目成绩都都还不错，唯独英语每次考试都在六十分上下浮动，让我甘拜下风。
记得有一次我英语只考五十多分，妈妈实在是忍无可忍了。于是，她把我叫到书房里，用平和的语气教育我英语以后是多么的重要，学起来多么的'简单。可见我冥顽不化，哪里听得进半句。她只好使出狠招，逼着我拿起了笔杆子，写起了英语字母，背起了英语单词，让我束手就擒，还规定我在五点之前不写满两面，背不好五十个单词，就不让我出去玩。讲完后，便“咚”的一声关门出去了。我独自坐在椅子上，想着妈妈的话，闷闷不乐，看着桌子上的小刮痕发起了呆。我突然感觉我的生活好像一块铁锈一样从来就没有发过什么光彩。我没背几个单词，就感到头晕脑胀，对剩下的任务更是愁眉苦脸。
看着窗外自由自在飞翔的小鸟，蓝蓝的天和白白的云，还有那在小区院子里悠闲自在，互相追逐打闹的小伙伴们，我心里真是哑巴吃黄连——有苦说不出。谁叫我只继承了老妈英语水平的百分之一。这时，我的脑袋似乎灌进了铅，经过了好长时间的努力，才只背了三十个单词。想想等一下就要到达老妈的规定时间，想想还有好多事情没完成，就不禁心惊胆颤。算了，挨骂就挨骂吧，反正也是白费力气。我趴在桌子上，像一只哈巴狗，耷拉着脑袋，时不时长叹一口气，整个人无精打采。关在这间屋子里，如同关在禁闭岛上，仍受着烦闷和无聊。“咚”，“魔鬼”来了。房间里不一会儿就传出来了愤怒的咆哮，响彻整栋楼房。

哇！老爸真厉害，看来这英语我是教定了！很有“天赋”呢！终于有个单词老爸，“猜错读音了。”是‘普累’不是‘普恩’。再读一遍，‘普累’。我像位老师一样严格地纠正老爸的错误读者。就这样，报的速度比平时慢了一倍，因为不光写，还得一遍遍纠正读音。许多天后、、、、、、“老爸！这次要写句子！”老爸闻声，慢慢悠悠地晃了过来，面露难色，极不情愿地拿起我的英语书，用一口不标准，不流利的.英语给我报了起来。

“天啊，为什么每天的英语单词都这么多啊！”几乎天天都能听到我和同学们的感叹。回想小学时，一学期也学不了多少新词。而现在，英语笔记本是消耗最大的一本本子，甚至一天学的生词，与一学期的'相差无几。繁重的英语单词“压”得我喘不过起来，就连写其他作业时，我嘴里也不时轻声念叨着。
最怕的，还是英语考试了。我像极了寓言中写到的那个捡一个玉米棒掉一个的大灰熊：面对厚厚一本英语本，看着那些以前学过，可现在早已忘记的单词，我的大脑一片空白——当然，考试成绩也不尽如人意。学英语，真是一件“苦差事”啊！

当然，学英语也并非完全在苦海里“挣扎”。南外的英语课，充满了趣味：每节课都会播放一首英文歌，课前也有同学上讲台演讲。而且老师们一直在教我们地道的句型和实用的表达方法。我永远也不会忘记，当逛商场时发现药店门口写着pharmacy时的激动；坐地铁时看到Olympicstadium的激动……我感到所有事物正以一种从未有过的方式重组，正如用截然不同的方法诠释整个世界。大概这就是学英语的魅力所在了吧！
