　　今天下午要上英语课时，老师在黑板上写了一组英语单词是“raining cat sand dogs”,让我们讲一讲它的意思。我低下头思索着：cats,dogs是“猫”和“狗”的复数形式，表示“许多猫”和“许多狗”，raining是“雨”的意思。合起来是什么呢？我正在冥思苦想，有同学举起说说：“天上掉下来很多猫和狗。”顿时教室里的同学们哄堂大笑起来，互相交头接耳，都在讨论这个词语的意思，最后还是老师解开了谜团。老师说：“同学们英语学得还可以，记住了每个单词的.含义。”这几个单词合起来的意思是倾盆大雨。英语和汉语一样，一些单词和单词组合起来有特殊的含义、固定的用法，就像汉语的成语、谚语似的。刚才老师说的这几个单词合起来，就不是单个儿的意思了，而是“倾盆大雨”的意思。

　　这次去欧洲旅游，我收获很多，其中有一点就是让我对学习英语的体会又深了一层。

　　去欧洲之前，我学英语时基本都是哑巴英语，从来不去大声读，发音总是不标准，而且学习过程中没有兴趣，所以虽然反复学但是效果不好，学习效率很低，浪费了很多时间。

　　在欧洲，我发现熟练掌握英语非常重要，无论是在旅游景点还是购物商场，英语总是通用的语音，在很多情况下，由于英语不好，不能准确地表达出自己的想法，而产生很多遗憾。在卢浮宫参观时，虽然有英文的讲解器，但因为听不懂，就不能更好的欣赏这个艺术宝库。在意大利，就连最简单的买冰激凌，由于不会用英语说“香草”这个词，也无法品尝更多地口味。这样的事情，几乎每天都会发生。所以在国外时，我就暗暗下了决心，今后一定要认真学习外语，熟练掌握好外语。还有一点，我看到外国人说英语时口型都是非常夸张的，有时嘴巴张得很大，有时嘴巴撅得很厉害。我回想了一下自己的.发音，说英语时口型和汉语发音差不多，口型不到位，发音自然也不会标准了。

　　有了这两点体会，我对英语的学习有了更多的动力和认识。回国后在假期里学习音标时，我开始大声地练习，丢掉了以前的不好意思，尽量的把口型做到位，发音慢慢地纠正过来。当然，今后我还要继续持久的练习，期待下次出国游时，我可以说的更多，听得更多！
