今天，一年一度的英语节在培德楼上的六楼报告大厅如火如荼的举行了。
为了今天，我以前可是大下功夫，又是写稿子，又是让妈妈帮我认识新单词，又是自己背稿子，终于等到了今天。
我自信满满的走进大厅。妈呀！吓死我了！这里居然聚集着这么多人。有五年级学生、老师、各年级的英语老师。嗯？还有两个老外！看来，我今天得好好表现了，为自己、为班级而争光。
比赛开始了，我是28号，也就是最后一名，我感受到我的心就像一个调皮的小精灵一样，跳得七上八下的——好紧张。该我了，我走上台，感到腿有点发软，好像马上就要瘫在地上了一样；手有一点发颤，好像马上就要把话筒掉在地上一样。当我看见两位老外在默默地为我鼓掌时，我便又鼓起勇气，继续往下背。我的腿不再发软了，我的.手也不再发颤了，我的精神又饱满起来。
因为我有一点拘谨，所以只得了二等奖。我很失望，因为我原来可以得到更高的分数，但我依然很开心，因为我体验到了我以前从来没有体验过的感受，还受到了一个使我一生受益的启发：只要有付出，就一定有回报。
英语是世界通用的语言，所以我一定要学好英语。长大为祖国增光添彩。

I will have a seven-day holiday next week. In these days, I have many things to do. First, I must finish the exercises left by teachers, Chinese, math and English. It may take me two days to finish. I plan finish them in the first and second day.
And then, I will go to see my grandparents with mom and dad. I miss them very much. So do they. I will stay there for three days. The last two days, I want to have a good rest or play with my friends. It’s my own time, so that I want to spend it with my friends.

A fair society must take special care of the poor,the sick,the young and the old ,because they can‘t earn much money like others.But they belong to human being.Their lives must be protected by the society .So the modern society must build a Social Welfare System to help them .The system is different from the one that “recompense is made according to the amoumt of labour expended”.The system ensure everyone must get the lowest base of food,medical service,house,clothes and so on.If a country is more developed ,its Social welfare system must be better .
