He comforted me and said, “What did you have for lunch today?” “I dined out.” “And then?” “I ordered two dishes of raw seafood, three dishes of onion ring and a coke.” “You must have been very hungry, right?” I felt embarrassed. “Eat on time and don’t eat too much. That guarantees your health.” From then on I have kept in mind that piece of advice from a doctor. I believe health spells wealth and I am sure health makes everyone happy and hopeful, too.

　　Education is the key to the modernizations of our country. The extent to which children are educated is directly of vital importance to the improvement of our comprehensive national power. However, in some poverty-stricken rural areas, few school-agers can afford to go to school because of lack of financial support. Therefore, the CYDF (China Youth De velopment Foundation) is determined to carry on a financial plan to prevent them from quiting school, which is called Project Hope.

　　The Project is of great necessity. As we know, the children are the hope and future of China. Their being deprived of education will not only result in lack of human resources in those backward areasbut also hold back the economic develop ment of these areas and even the whole country. Moreover, the Chinese govern ment is not likely to provide a large amount of money for the hundreds of thousands of school dropouts. Therefore, the Project Hope is initiated by CYDF to offer financial assistance for these young stets.

　　My suggestion is that more people from all walks of life should be encouraged to finance the Project with their deeper love and stronger sense of responsibility for these children. And I am sure that the Project Hope has been meeting with hearty and generous response.
