　　我在新东方学习英语已经一年多了，虽然每次考试我都能在班上拿到第一名，但爸爸，妈妈和rainbow（我的英文老师）都想知道与其他同龄孩子相比，到底大家水平相差多少。所以，今年我报考了新东方的全国少儿英语竞赛的a组比赛。a组的小朋友都是7－8岁年龄段的，我们需要通过地区的海选，复赛，决赛。然后第一名的小朋友将代表该地区与其他40多个城市的`冠军选手比赛。

　　5月的第一个星期六，我终于迎来了我的海选考试，这次广州赛区a组参赛的小朋友一共1200多人，我怀着兴奋又忐忑的心情参加了40分钟的听力考试，考完后爸爸妈妈问我感觉如何，我回答不错，但其实我感觉还是挺好的，可能有一两个错误点吧！

　　然后我又怀着期待的心情等待比赛结果，因为1200个小朋友只有前20名能进入复赛，这样过了一周又一周。终于昨天我放学回家时妈妈高兴的告诉我，我以优异的成绩进入前20名，将于这星期五和星期六参加口语和笔试的复赛，这次复赛是参加剑桥少儿英语一级考试。前5名将参加6月的广州地区决赛。
