　　在今天这个风和日丽、阳光明媚的下午，一曲曲优美而动听的歌曲在校园里回荡。对，那就是学校正在举行“第二届英语歌曲大联唱。”我们拿着凳子来到操场上，这时，太阳公公使足了劲，好像在为我们加油。

　　英语歌曲大联唱开始了，首先上场的是三年级，他们迈着整齐的脚步向主席台走去，一上台，就面带微笑，笑得那么灿烂。美妙的伴奏声响起来了，他们的歌声也响起来了。时间一分一秒地过去，终于到我们班了。我的心情异常激动，站到主席台旁边，我的心里就更加激动了。我们高高地昂着头，迈着轻快的脚步，走上主席台。此时，我的心里就像怀了一窝小兔子似的`——怦怦直跳。这时，我偷偷瞄了一下后面，发现我们班最调皮捣蛋的流星雨也静了下来，似乎他也知道这次比赛的意义了吧。当看见评委脸上那一丝丝笑意，我的心情就平缓了许多。可是，当我看到那两千多双炯炯有神的眼睛盯着我们时，我的心情又紧张了。伴奏响了，我不知所措，看了一下旁边的人的口型、动作，勉强跟了上来。随着音乐的结束，我们这批黑衣大军就浩浩荡荡地走下主席台。我也不再紧张了。

　　我们回到了原来的位子上去，可是太阳太猛烈了，我不时喊了几句“热呀！渴呀！”终于英语歌曲大联唱结束了，听说成绩在周一出来，我的心里就充满憧憬和希望。

　　2月2日下午，我要参加阿斯顿英语学校举行的口语演讲比赛的总决赛。虽然我并没有任何压力，可妈妈却认为，进入决赛的同学们都是水平很高的，他们的英语口语非常好，你学英语起步晚，平时在家又没怎么练，对名次、奖励什么的别抱太大期望，重在参与就好。

　　听了妈妈的这番话，我并没有往心里去，而是继续认真的背诵演讲稿，心想，我一定要得奖。

　　时间不知不觉的来到了这一天，我心里多少也没底，因为并不知道其他参赛选手的实力如何。不过，我对自己还是有信心的，希望自己能取得一个不错的成绩。

　　那天下午，我早早的来到了比赛场地。发现来了的同学们都在认真的看自己的演讲稿，我找到一个比较靠前的座位，边看演讲稿，边等待比赛的开始。

　　两点整，比赛正式开始。主持人Vivian宣读了比赛规则以及评分标准。然后让我们到评委席去抽签决定比赛顺序。我本以为自己能抽到中间的位置，没想到竟然抽了个第二。看来得好好发挥了。

　　很快就轮到我了，我从老师的手中接过话筒，走上舞台，先鞠了一躬。之后稍作停顿，开始了演讲。我演讲的内容是介绍我的学校生活，就像在家里无数次练习的那样，内容早已背诵的滚瓜烂熟，我并不感到紧张。只是，中途不知为什么，话筒好像出了问题，时好时坏，使大家听到的声音是断断续续的。我没有被这个小问题干扰到，努力大声地演讲，等话筒一好就稍稍减弱声音。这样，大家并没有听出声音有什么变化。不知不觉中，我的演讲内容结束了。这时候，轮到外教提问了。我走下舞台，从一堆纸条里面任意抽了两张，分别是banana和boy，我仔细看了一眼便作了回答。OK,我顺利过关了，心情顿时轻松了不少。

　　接下来，开始听其他选手演讲。

　　我本以为这次参加演讲的选手实力都很强，没想到几乎个个都紧张的不得了，影响了各自的实力发挥。这让我悬着的心稍稍放了下来。

　　到了宣布结果的'时候了，我紧张又认真的听着。哦！我的总分是94分，竟然顺利的进入了前三名，获得三等奖！不光有奖学金，还有证书以及一套迪士尼学习用品。看来，我的努力没有白费，如愿以偿的实现了我得奖的愿望。

　　但是，我不能骄傲，不能满足这小小的成绩。今后我要再接再厉，多听多练，争取在英语口语方面更上一层楼，在以后的比赛中得到更好的成绩。

They really embodied the sports spirit of "friendship first, competition second".

　　今天下午我们学校有一场篮球赛，是5年级3班和6班的比赛，他们是我们学校最好的球队。球赛开始后，两队都打得很积极。只见球迅速地从一个人手中传到另一个人手中。真是一场精彩的比赛。最后，6班赢了，3班衷心地向他们表示祝贺。他们真正体现了“友谊第一，比赛第二”的'体育精神。

　　Once I saw the TV show, it was about the fathers and their kids having the match, they were separated by five groups and compete for the match. At first, they were competing happily, but as the game came to the end, the last group was so worried. The father inspired his kid to stick on and finish the match, while the kid was crying because he knew he must be the last. After the match, the father told his kid that winning was not the most important thing for the match, the first thing was to enjoy the game and finish it, the result was not that important.

　　I agree with the father, the child must be endowed with the consciousness that to enjoy the game is more important than to win. Every match can only have one win, but we can enjoy every match.

　　The game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on Friday night. Long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium. By seven-thirty the seats were almost filled.

　　The school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. They started to play at about a quarter to eight. Everybody stood up, and the people sang. The game was about to start.

　　Two teams ran out to the floor. The referee blew his whistle, and the game started. A basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters. There is a rest period between the halves.

　　During the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. From then on, the game was very exciting. First one team made a basket, then the other.

　　The people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win. The ball hit the rim of the basket and seemed to hang there for a moment, and then it fell through the basket. The whistle blew and the game was over. Home team won, 70 to 68.
