Once she was badly ill and had stayed in bed for several days. When I got home to see her at night， I found the light was still on and mother was sitting in bed， making new clothes for me ! I was so deeply moved that tears came to my eyes.

我以前听说在小学3年级的时候要学英语。我想啊，我又不去英国，干什么学英语啊？现在，我要学英语了，我听老师和爸爸妈妈说，英语是全球的通用语言，学好了才能和外国的友人交流沟通。我重视英语了，并决心要学好它。今天就是我的第一次英语课，我是既紧张又兴奋。
上课时，老师给我们说：“需要购买录音机和磁带作为辅助工具。”回到家里我就急忙给爸爸妈妈说了需要录音机和磁带的事情。妈妈告诉我：“辅助工具很重要，但是上课专心听讲更加重要。现在我们去买吧。”
录音机和磁带买回来了，妈妈告诉我怎么使用。我就打开录音机开始听起来了：先背着书听一遍，然后背着书跟读一遍，最后我看着书跟读一遍。现在该我关了录音机读课文了，我一看课文，呀，我只能勉强用英语说出课文中人物的名字，其他的就不知道怎么读了。这可把我急坏了，恨不得把书给撕了。妈妈安慰我说：“不要着急，事情需要一步一步的来完成，着急是没有用的。我们换个方式来练习一下？”妈妈和我就象课文里的人物一样来对话，介绍自己的.名字和打招呼。几遍下来，我发觉我渐渐可以完全读课文了，这个方法真不错！
读完了课文，该听写了。我先看看单词表吧，哇！有的单词字母好多，我得好好记清楚，字母少的就看一遍。开始听写了，糟糕，我只顾去记字母多的单词，字母少的反而没有记住。不管了，这些不知道的单词胡编乱造也要写完。由于刚才一着急，字母多的单词也忘记了一些，只好空在那里了，最后错了不少。第二次也好不到哪里去。第三次了，妈妈说，再不全对的话，就把每个单词抄写一篇。这次我一定要认真记牢，反复在心里默写几遍，做到万无一失，要不然，罚抄每个单词一篇可不是好玩的。这次我满怀信心了，当然也全部正确了。
今天，我初次接触英语，也是经历了一些曲折吧。从中我也体会到，学习不同的东西需要用不同的方式去对待，但是，有一点少不了，那就是刻苦！

为了提高我的英语水平，妈妈给我报了一个英语培训班。一天、两天……在期待中终于开课了。
“丁零零！丁零零！”铃声响起了，同学们整齐地坐在教室中。
英语课很有趣，尤其分组大比拼，规则是“坐第一排编号是一，第二排编号是二，依次往下推。假如叫到编号六，第六排的人就要到字母A的`卡片旁拍三下，然后做动作，并念出卡片的名称，再跑回自己的座位上坐好。谁先完成以上几点，就可以获得一个龙宝宝，谁多谁胜。”
突然，叫到编号一，那不是我吗！我三步并作两步，兴冲冲地跑到字母A旁。一边做动作，一边念单词。然后，我又快步跑回自己的座位。
比赛结束了，虽然我的反应快，但是因为我们组有的同学太慢还是没有取得最后的胜利，我感到有些失望。
在游戏中，我学到了不少单词和字母，还认识到一个团队只有团结才能取得胜利。
对了，我还有英文名字叫：“WILLIAM”。
