　　下周我要参加迪斯尼的英语演讲比赛，老师把我安排在中级组，比赛的主题是“欢乐的暑假”，要求是自己制作PPT和自己写演讲稿。

　　我和妈妈把我暑假里的照片选择了几张做成PPT，爸爸又帮我做成动画的'效果，老师又帮我加上了背景。漂亮极了。

　　演讲稿是先自我介绍，然后是告诉大家我暑假里快乐的生活。今天我们进行了第一次彩排，老师说我很有感情带有微笑并且声音很响亮，我有信心得奖。等着我的好消息吧，哈哈！

　　The contest was held at the playground last Saturday morning, 7:00a.m. The panel is made up of 5 English teachers from our school, all of whom were experienced. Moreover, a total number of 20 competitors came from we Grade 2. It was made a rule that the top 3 competitors would be awarded. It is a great competition and all the participants perform well. I was so lucky that I won the first place.

　　我经历过很多比赛，比如跑步、跳舞、写字……，可是让我最难忘的就是英语歌曲比赛了。

　　这周，学校举行英语周活动。在老师的推荐下，让我去参加英语歌曲比赛。终于，比赛的日子到了，我走进大礼堂，看见大礼堂里坐着好多人，我的心开始忐忑不安起来，总是想：万一我唱错了怎么办？万一忘记歌词怎么办？万一……比赛开始了，我们班的俞力铭第一个上场，只见他胸有成竹地唱起来，还加了许多活泼的动作，台下的观众都被深深地吸引了。唱完以后，俞力铭看到我害怕的`样子，说：“别怕，只要你把下面的观众当成萝卜白菜就可以了。”

　　该轮到我上台了，我暗暗地为自己“鼓劲”：别慌，我能行，一定能行的。我挺直了腰杆，大胆地走上台去，为大家唱起了一首《彩虹歌》，随着优美的歌声，我慢慢地忘记了紧张，越来越放松，越唱越好。演唱结束了，台下响起了一阵雷鸣般的掌声，我的心里甜滋滋的。

　　经过了这次难忘的英语歌曲比赛，使我深深明白了：无论做什么事，实际上都不像我们想象中的那么难，只要对自己充满信心，就一定能成功。

　　今年暑假，我报名参加了全省少儿英语朗诵电视表演大赛。有三千多人参赛。比赛分为四个组别，分别是：幼儿组、小学A组（我参加的组别）、小学B组、中学组。分初赛、复赛、半决赛、决赛四个赛程。竞争很激烈，从三千人中最后决出四十名选手进入决赛。

　　我抱着试试看的心情参加了比赛，想练练胆子，希望能提高自己的英语水平。初赛的时候，我有些紧张，自我介绍的时候都卡壳了，不过幸好我的英语歌曲唱得不错，顺利过关，进入复赛。

　　复赛的'时候，我的心情不那么紧张了，并且增加了一个Story time的才艺展示。几天后，接到了参加半决赛的通知。

　　半决赛在杭州滨江区的浙江艺术职业学院的演播厅举行。按规定，每个组别是20人参加，但是由于竞争很激烈，我们组有25人参赛，要选出10人参加决赛，比别的组更艰难。结果我发挥较为出色，杀入了决赛。哇，好高兴！

　　一周后，决赛开始。评委也增加到了9个。比赛分为4个环节：自我介绍、才艺展示、即兴演讲和评委提问，要求也更加严格，超过时间就会被卡断。我抽到最后一个出场，由于还是有些紧张，居然漏了一项才艺表演。不过其他都发挥正常。

　　经过2个多小时的比赛和评委的认真评选，奖项正式开出，我获得了这次全省第二届少儿英语朗诵电视大赛小学A组的铜奖。哈哈，真没想到！通过这次比赛，我得到了锻炼，开阔了眼界，也提高了学好英语的兴趣。正像老师说的那样，重要的不是结果，是参与比赛的过程！

　　the game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on friday night. long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium.

　　by seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. the school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. they started to play at about a quarter to eight. everybody stood up, and the people sang. the game was about to start. two teams ran out to the floor. the referee blew his whistle, and the game started. a basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters. there is a rest period between the halves. during the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. from then on, the game was very exciting. first one team made a basket, then the other. the people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

　　the ball hit the rim of the basket and seemed to hang there for a moment, and then it fell through the basket. the whistle blew and the game was over. home team won, 70 to 68.
