　　放学后，我刚一进家门，一件新鲜事映入了我的眼帘：奶奶正坐在录音机旁听着磁带学英语呢！我轻轻地走到奶奶身边，调皮地说：“您都快七十岁了，还一本正经地学上外语了，是做给我看的吧？我劝您别动这脑筋啦！”奶奶听了我的话，只是瞪了我一眼，又继续学起来。我心想，奶奶的倔劲又来了。

　　从这以后，经常可以看见奶奶学英语的身影……

　　每天清晨，我还在睡梦中，就已经听到奶奶那神气十足的朗读英语的声音；中午，大家围坐在一起其乐融融地吃饭，可总有一个座位空着，那是在外上老年人英语补习班的奶奶还未回来；深夜，万籁俱寂的时候，书桌上总还亮着一盏台灯，那是奶奶在完成学校里布置的'作业……

　　看到奶奶的英语日渐纯熟，我好生羡慕，却也隐隐发现了一个秘密：奶奶总是三天两头地往外跑，回来的时候，那双老布鞋总是多添了几道口子。更令人不解的是：每次奶奶回家的时候，总是满面春风，好像喝了蜜似的沉浸在甜蜜和幸福中。我熟知的那又倔又严的奶奶可从不会这样啊？在好奇心的驱使下，我决定自导只演一幕“大追踪”……

　　星期六的下午两点不到，奶奶慌忙背着那鼓鼓囊囊的大背包出发了，我眼疾手快地紧随其后。奶奶精神饱满地往前走着，走了很久，我已经都快吃不消了。一个多小时后，奶奶终于走出了繁华的闹市区，来到了一个我不常去的郊外小镇。沿途的风景很好，但看起来，奶奶根本无暇欣赏这景色，只是一个劲地往前走。终于，奶奶的步伐慢了下来，想必是要到了吧。这不，拐过一个大弯，我看见了一座红土烂草房，墙上被时间老人洒满斑驳，隐约显出几个白色的字体：孤儿院。咦，奶奶来这里干嘛？我满腹疑惑。

　　看见奶奶闪进了那座红房，我便小心翼翼地靠在房外，生怕那墙壁一碰就要倒下来似的。忽然，一群孩子蜂似地围向奶奶，欢呼着……奶奶赶紧放下背包，从包里拿出一大把糖果，分发给孩子们。吃完糖果，孩子们很习惯似地一圈圈把奶奶围了起来。奶奶又拿出了那本我一年级时用的英语课本，用小石子在地上使劲写着A、B、C……孩子们张着大嘴，傻傻跟着奶奶念着……刹那间，我什么都明白了，眼前瞬间浮现出奶奶那日夜苦学英语的场景……
