　　为提高孩子们英语水平，检验近期英语学习情况，进一步培养学生的英语综合运用能力，营造英语文化氛围，7月28日，山东理工大学“红色之旅”实践团于菏泽市牡丹区赵楼社区支教基地举行英语作文比赛。

　　此次比赛本着“人人参与”的原则，在初中三个年级中进行。以《My holidy》（我的假期）为题，学生们现场发挥，在30分钟的时间内写出一篇100词作文。比赛过程中，参赛选手胸有成竹，屏气凝神，严格遵守比赛规则，表现出优秀的参赛风格。全部同学在规定时间内完成，甚至有几位同学提前做完，显示出同学们对英语的有效掌握。学生作文水平虽显稚嫩，但从单词、句子的'运用，到语法篇章的安排，都显示出了英语教学有了明显的进步，这是同学们勤学英语的结果，也是每位实践队员辛勤教学的结果。最终，赵芳同学脱颖而出荣获一等奖，刘涵、赵紫、赵伟等分获二、三等奖，队员们为其颁发奖状、奖品，以资鼓励。赛后，实践团将同学们的作品在橱窗中展示，以供大家交流学习。同学们表示今后一定再接再厉，学好英语。队员们鼓励大家在日常生活中也要勤学勤用，在实践中探索英语的奥秘。

　　此次比赛有力调动起同学们学习英语的积极性，提高了对英语的实用能力，提高了学生英语读写能力。据悉，此类活动还将继续开展，为学生创设运用英语写作展示的平台。

We found a place can see the match clearly hardly. The participatesat on the boat look like dragon. When the signal to start set, everyone on theboat tried their best to make the boat forward. 　　The contest was held at the playground last Saturday morning, 7:00a.m. The panel is made up of 5 English teachers from our school, all of whom were experienced. Moreover, a total number of 20 competitors came from we Grade 2. It was made a rule that the top 3 competitors would be awarded. It is a great competition and all the participants perform well. I was so lucky that I won the first place.

　　今天是英语比赛的复赛，我和爸爸早上早早的起床，然后出去吃早餐，我们到车站坐上车以后，我惊奇的发现我和聂泽坤做的竟然是同一班车！我们因为离得很远，所以路上没有说话。到了以后爸爸给我买了一瓶水就打出租车来到了我们比赛地点广电大厦，我们向保安人员问清了演播厅在哪儿，就去了，正好又碰上了聂泽坤，他正好也要进去，我觉得我们像有缘分一样。然后老师要开始点名了，因为姓名在电脑上，所以我就和聂泽坤一起看了看名单，发现乔尚卿（2班的一位同学）第一，聂泽坤第二我第三，我们还发现，指导教师应该都是于海洋（Ms yu）,乔尚卿的却被打成了丁海洋！我和聂泽坤都笑了起来。

　　开始点名了，我们在点名的桌子前面站成两排，乔尚卿抽了34号，聂泽坤抽了33号，而我却抽了14号！我们离得太远了，就连不会的单词都不能互相问一下。比赛开始了我们来到一个大厅里，在里面按顺序坐好，开始抽纸条，上面写着单词，后面写着几个人表演，我抽了一个纸条上面写着：Look snake help a boy （4人）。一个工作人员就又找了3个人和我合作。我们编排的故事情节大体是这样的：一个男孩在森林里散步，忽然看见了一条蛇，有两个小女孩路过，救起了小男孩，杀死了那条蛇。我上台比赛的时候非常紧张，但是虽然心里紧张，表面上却看不出来，我相信在选手里面我是最放松的一个。最后经过好久的'比赛，评出了成绩，我的成绩不太理想，不过还是得了一等奖，我惊喜的跳了起来，心里准备参加下一次比赛，但是后来工作人员的一句话泼了我一身冷水：特等奖的才有机会参加山东省的决赛！

　　唉~~我已经努力了，不过我相信我会在双语比赛中获得冠军，加油！

　　by seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. the school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. they started to play at about a quarter to eight. everybody stood up, and the people sang. the game was about to start. two teams ran out to the floor. the referee blew his whistle, and the game started. a basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters. there is a rest period between the halves. during the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. from then on, the game was very exciting. first one team made a basket, then the other. the people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

　　the ball hit the rim of the basket and seemed to hang there for a moment, and then it fell through the basket. the whistle blew and the game was over. home team won, 70 to 68.
