　　端午节是为了纪念中国伟大的`爱国诗人屈原，是农历五月初五。

　　端午节有吃粽子和赛龙舟的习俗。粽子是一种用竹叶或芦苇叶包成棱形的状的饭团子。我们将艾蒿放在门上辟邪，艾蒿还有驱除蚊虫的作用。

　　端午节给儿童缠七色线，一直要戴到节后第一次下雨才解下来扔在雨水里。

　　Dragon Boat Festival/Duanwu Festival

　　The festival is to commemorate a great patriotic poet of China—— Qu Yuan. It falls on the fifth day of the fifth month in lunar calendar.

　　There is the customs of eating Zongzi and racing dragon-boat on Dragon Boat Festival. Zongzi is a pyramid-shaped dumpling made of glutinous rice and wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves to give it a special flavor. We put mugwort on the door to ward off evil, and it has insect repellent function.

　　Children wear bracelet made by seven colored strings until the first rain after the festival, they should throw the strings into puddle.

　　Before the Spring Festival, we will clean our home, because it can wash away bad things and good luck in the New Year. On New Year's eve, all the family members have dinner together, and the dinner is very big. After dinner, people watch Spring Festival shows on TV. People keep watch until midnight, and then they go and set off firecrackers. On the morning of the Spring Festival, people finish their meal early, then visit each other and say "happy New Year!" The children pay their respects to the old people, and the old ones give the children money. The children play together, and they play beautiful fireworks.

　　On this day, people like to wear red new clothes that represent auspiciousness, people paste Spring Festival couplets, eat dumplings and so on. Everybody passes warmth and happiness, everybody is very happy!

　　What's the happiest day of the year? Undoubtedly, it is the most solemn traditional festival of the Chinese nation, the Spring Festival.

　　A few days before the Spring Festival, dad took me and my brother and my Cousins to a market for New Year's goods. As we approached, the streets were full of peddlers, pine nuts, melon seeds and walnuts. And my favorite beef jerky. We walked down the street, and there was a coaxing couplets on every shop. The hawker's Shouting, the noise of the customer, the red and red couplets, there is a strong smell everywhere. We shopped at dozens of stores but didn't buy anything. We came to an old name, and the old lady and father were acquaintances. Dad greeted the landlady and began to pick things up. My father first bought my favorite beef jerky and filled it with a full bag. Then he bought a lot of things, melon seeds, pine nuts and walnuts... A big bag is about a few dozen pounds. I struggled with it, and would not let go. Dad took his brother and made his own car. We were satisfied and returned home with joy.

　　一年中，最开心的一天是哪一天？毫无疑问，必然是中华民族最隆重的传统节日——春节。

　　在过春节的前几天，爸爸带我和弟弟还有表姐一家去一家市场买年货。走近一看，街道一望无际，全都是小贩，有卖松子的，有卖瓜子的，还有卖核桃的……以及我最喜欢的牛肉干。我们我们顺着街道走，每一家店铺上都贴着哄哄的对联。小贩的吆喝声，顾客的吵闹声，和着红红的对联，无处不散发出一种浓浓的年味。我们逛了好几十家店铺，却什么也没有买。我们来到了一家老字号，这里的老板娘和爸爸也算是熟人了。爸爸向老板娘招呼了一声，便开始挑东西。爸爸首先买了我最喜欢的'牛肉干，装了满满一袋呢。接着又大包小包的买了许多东西，有瓜子，有松子，还有核桃……满满一个大袋子，算算大概有几十斤吧。我吃力的提着，无论怎么也不肯松手。爸爸牵着弟弟，做上了自己的车，我们心满意足的，带着喜悦回到了家。

　　新年就要来临，买好了年货，我钻在被子里，悄悄地，默数着新年的来临。
