　　With rapid spreading of western cultures, there is a growing number of Chinese people prefer western holidays to traditional ones. When Christmas or Valentine Day comes, youngsters flood into bars, restaurants, or department stores to celebrate these festivals, while they know little about Chinese traditional festivals.

　　The reason behind such kind social phenomenon is obvious: in a society dominated by mass media and consumerism, festivals and holidays from abroad are labeled as fashionable, new and unique, while traditional ones are something out of date and old. Young people all over the world have regarded western life style especially the life depicted in Hollywood films as their ultimate goal of life. As a consequence it is no wonder that Chinese young people have much more passion on Christmas than China’s Spring Festival.

　　We should think about the influence of such a social phenomenon carefully. As far as I am concerned, it is obvious that the wide spread and recognition of western holidays is definitely doing harm to our traditional value. If we don’t take some measures right now, some day in future, Chinese cultural heritage may be alien to our offspring. It is high time for the government and all people to take some action to protect our traditional culture.

　　What's the happiest day of the year? Undoubtedly, it is the most solemn traditional festival of the Chinese nation, the Spring Festival.

　　A few days before the Spring Festival, dad took me and my brother and my Cousins to a market for New Year's goods. As we approached, the streets were full of peddlers, pine nuts, melon seeds and walnuts. And my favorite beef jerky. We walked down the street, and there was a coaxing couplets on every shop. The hawker's Shouting, the noise of the customer, the red and red couplets, there is a strong smell everywhere. We shopped at dozens of stores but didn't buy anything. We came to an old name, and the old lady and father were acquaintances. Dad greeted the landlady and began to pick things up. My father first bought my favorite beef jerky and filled it with a full bag. Then he bought a lot of things, melon seeds, pine nuts and walnuts... A big bag is about a few dozen pounds. I struggled with it, and would not let go. Dad took his brother and made his own car. We were satisfied and returned home with joy.

　　The New Year is coming. I have bought the New Year's goods. I am in the quilt, quietly, I count the New Year's coming.

　　一年中，最开心的一天是哪一天？毫无疑问，必然是中华民族最隆重的传统节日——春节。

　　在过春节的前几天，爸爸带我和弟弟还有表姐一家去一家市场买年货。走近一看，街道一望无际，全都是小贩，有卖松子的，有卖瓜子的，还有卖核桃的……以及我最喜欢的牛肉干。我们我们顺着街道走，每一家店铺上都贴着哄哄的对联。小贩的吆喝声，顾客的吵闹声，和着红红的对联，无处不散发出一种浓浓的年味。我们逛了好几十家店铺，却什么也没有买。我们来到了一家老字号，这里的`老板娘和爸爸也算是熟人了。爸爸向老板娘招呼了一声，便开始挑东西。爸爸首先买了我最喜欢的牛肉干，装了满满一袋呢。接着又大包小包的买了许多东西，有瓜子，有松子，还有核桃……满满一个大袋子，算算大概有几十斤吧。我吃力的提着，无论怎么也不肯松手。爸爸牵着弟弟，做上了自己的车，我们心满意足的，带着喜悦回到了家。

　　新年就要来临，买好了年货，我钻在被子里，悄悄地，默数着新年的来临。

　　First, I asked my sister to step on the skateboard with her left foot and gently push her right foot to jump. But she jumped several times and couldn't jump. So I asked her to stand on a skateboard with her right foot on the board. But she could not walk two steps and fell, but she fell several times without losing heart. Once, when she slipped more than two meters, I was happy to give her a hand. She was also a brave and persistent person. My sister jumped up too.

　　I spent this holiday very quick, on the 1st May, we went to the Zoo, there were crowded there, so many travelers coming from all over the country to have some fun during the holidays.On 2nd May, I visited my relatives with my parents, we had a great lunch together, the resturant were crowded as well.

　　On 3rd May, we went to shopping in the mall, after the shopping we went to watch a new movie. All the other days leftI didn't go anywhere, no only becasue I still have some homework,but also there were almost all crowded in everywhere!

　　我度过这个假期很快，1号可能，我们去动物园，有拥挤的存在，所以许多游客来自全国各地的一些有趣的`假期。5月2日，我拜访了我的亲戚与我的父母，我们一起吃了一伟大的午餐，餐厅拥挤也。

　　在第三个月，我们去购物商场，购物后，我们去看了一部新电影。所有其他的日子剩下的什么地方都没去，只因为我还有些作业，而且是几乎到处都在拥挤！
