　　今天妈妈告诉我一个好消息，今天晚上接到老师的'通知，上周我在泡泡英语全国比赛预赛考试中通过了考试，可以参加泡泡英语全国少儿大赛正式比赛了，我很兴奋！

　　我问妈妈：“是不是考试呀？”

　　“是的，正式的比赛，和预赛差不多。”妈妈说：“周日，老师要带你们去参加赛前培训。”

　　我又问妈妈：“是几个人去？”

　　妈妈说：“你们班有7个小朋友在预赛考试中通过了考试。你要努力！”

　　The contest was held at the playground last Saturday morning, 7:00a.m. The panel is made up of 5 English teachers from our school, all of whom were experienced. Moreover, a total number of 20 competitors came from we Grade 2. It was made a rule that the top 3 competitors would be awarded. It is a great competition and all the participants perform well. I was so lucky that I won the first place.

　　先是五年级比赛，之后依次往下。轮到我了。站到台上的时候，我的双腿有些发抖，翻开书读时，第一句读错了，我赶紧改进。为了不让自己再读错，我让自己的心冷静下来。双腿也不再抖得那么厉害了。我讲的故事是《爱唱歌的鸟，内容是有一只爱唱歌的鸟，国王把它关进笼子里，给它美味的食物，可它就是不唱。最后国王把它放走了，她又像以前那样唱歌了。现在所有人都很高兴。讲完了，我走下台，回到自己的`座位上。有一个女孩跟我的故事一样，她很有感情把它背诵了出来，还做着动作。我是读的，有一点感情，没有做动作。我心想，下次讲故事要背下来，要有感情和动作。

　　The game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on Friday night. Long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium.

　　By seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. The school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. They started to play at about a quarter to eight. Everybody stood up, and the people sang. The game was about to start. Two teams ran out to the floor. The referee blew his whistle, and the game started. A basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters.

　　There is a rest period between the halves. During the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. From then on, the game was very exciting. First one team made a basket, then the other. The people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.
