　　去年暑假，我、三个同学和家长一行去青岛，参加 “外研通杯新概念英语大赛。”

　　晚上，所有的选手进行了抽签，我们被分在了a组，田潇乐18号，我24号，张婉琳28号，孟心语36号。回到宾馆，我们几个就感到有点紧张的气氛了，有的同学就拿出相关的书来背起来，有的装着若无其事的样子，但从她的行动上还是能看出一点点异样来。

　　第二天早上七点30分，正式开始比赛，一走进200多平方米的比赛大厅，妈呀，早已人山人海，有点水泄不通。

　　比赛开始了，一号选手是一个小男孩，他在自我介绍时有点慌张，背课文时，支支吾吾很不流利，当评委提问时，竟然连小孩都会的问题都答不出来了，在表演完后差不多是哭着下台的。我们更加感到紧张，赶紧准备起来，家长见状，只好给我们打气：“孩子，不要害怕，我们能来到这里，就是最棒的，重在参与。”这种声音一直回荡在我们的耳边……

　　时间过的好快，不一会儿，该田潇乐上场了！我紧张的眼珠快要掉出来了，还好，她在台上显得镇定自若，背完课文后，回答问题和才艺展示后，大大方方的走下台。我高兴地跑过去，并说道：“田潇乐！你太棒了！”她又欣喜地说，谢啦，但快到你了，快准备吧。我高亢的心情又一下子跌落到谷底。‘19号、20号、21号、22号、23号、24号！’该我了！我的天！这咋就这么快呢，我的手呦，别再冰冷；我的腿呦，别再颤抖！我还是磕磕拌拌的上台了。

　　oh,my gad!当时我面对着这么多的眼睛，心跳都快要停住了！先是一番自我介绍，本来想讲得眉飞色舞，谁知，脑子一片空白，下文呢？忘了！只好来了个“自我拯救”——自己现编吧，结果效果还是不好，说了好几遍“i’m sorry.”哼，气死我了！接下来是现场抽签背课文，“开始。”“stop！”哈哈，天助我也，我抽到了我最拿手的课文，“now i will bigan!……”课文顺利背完了，该评委问了，因本人紧张过度，也像第一位那样：没能回答问题，我心里又没有数了，心情到‘大慌特慌’的'程度了。还好，接下来，是我比较拿手的才艺展示，一番热舞后，得到了一片掌声，也算是给了我一点点的心理安慰吧。

　　所有的比赛结束了，公布成绩时，我们没有进全国赛，真的感到好遗憾。我想了好久，终于明白了一个道理：机会对于每个人都是均等的，有的人抓住了，并做好充分的准备，迎接他们的就是鲜花与掌声，而我，却没有做到，结局就是这样的了！

　　到了杭州，我们在赛场内看了许多小朋友的表演，他们都很棒，我相信我一定能像他们那样棒的。在那里等了好长的时间，终于轮到我了。当主持人叫到我的名字时，我的`心情一下子紧张起来了。走到台上我想到了妈妈的话：“把下面的评委当成是班里的同学，他们在听我领读英语呢！”想到这儿，我的心情一下子就平静了下来，顺利的表演完了准备好的节目。听到观众的掌声，别提我心里有多高兴了。夏老师还夸我的表演很不错，妈妈也说我的表演非常棒。我克服了我胆小的毛病，以后我会对自己更加有信心。

　　比赛在大家的掌声结束了，我带这喜悦的心情回家了。

　　我怀着既期待又紧张的心情准备，在练习的过程中，英语老师为了要我适应计时铃声，控制好说完故事的时间，模拟了比赛铃声响起的各种突发状况。当我第一次练习听到催促的铃声，我心想：“天啊！超过时间会被评审扣分！”顿时，我难过得流下伤心的眼泪。老师频频安慰我，要我心平气和熟悉比赛的气氛。

　　经过反覆的练习，我渐渐的适应铃声所带给我的影响，并且能驾轻就熟的把握时间，最后，我终于能在规定时间内说完故事，也得到更多的自信。

　　到了正式比赛的当天，我自信满满带着精心设计的各种道具来到比赛现场。每个参赛对手实力坚强，看到每个人将辛苦练习的成果，淋漓尽致的展现在舞台上，激起了我强大的`斗志。轮到我上台时，我从容自若气定神闲的态度，以及灿烂可爱的笑容，博得评审和观众如雷的掌声，英语老师和亲自前来为我鼓励打气的爸妈都极力称赞我，我对自己的表现给予最高的评价，大家都斩钉截铁的认为冠军非我莫属。

　　当成绩公布时，出乎意料的，我居然名落孙山，当场嚎啕大哭，爸妈只能在一旁安慰鼓励我。

　　虽然这样的结果，让我难过不已，但“要怎么收获先那么栽”，我坚信只要我持续不懈，总有一天能为学校争取荣誉，我的努力将为自己种出一片幸福的花田。

　　时间一分一秒地过去了，很快就轮到了写英语作文的时间，看着来回转圈的英语老师们，我的汗毛都快竖起来了，可偏偏就在这时，我写错了一个字母！我急得像铁锅上的蚂蚁团团转，比赛可是一个细节都不能错啊！

　　忽然，对面的小男孩递给了我一支字笔，小声说：“你用用吧！”我点点头，满怀感激地望了望我的“救星”，又开始了写作。将笔归还给主人后，邓老师突然说道：“收卷！”大家纷纷上交了试卷。在上交的'那一瞬间，我如释重负，感到十分轻松。
