　　A Dragon boat race is a traditional amusement activityin dragon boat festival. Today, my mother took me out to watch dragon boatraces. I was very excited, because this was my first time to watch such race. Whenwe arrived at Nanhu Park, there were hundreds of people around the two sides ofthe river. We found a place can see the match clearly hardly. The participatesat on the boat look like dragon. When the signal to start set, everyone on theboat tried their best to make the boat forward. And the people who werewatching also cheered them. The air was very lively.

　　龙舟比赛是端午节的传统娱乐活动。今天，我妈妈带我出去看龙舟比赛。我很兴奋，因为这是我第一次去看这样的比赛。我们来到南湖公园的时候，那里有成百上千的人在河的两边。我们好不容易找到一个可以清楚看到比赛的`地方。参赛者都坐在像龙一样的船里面。当开始的信号发出的时候，每个人都努力使他们的船前进。观众们也为他们加油打气。气氛很热闹。

　　最近，我很忙碌。

　　为什么？因为我被肖老师推荐参加一个英语短剧的演出。我因此而忙碌着。这个英语短剧是要参加下关区比赛的，能加入其中是很大的荣幸。如果不是肖老师，我根本没有机会，所以我非常感谢肖老师。

　　我的角色是“旁白”。不要小看这个角色哦，在整部剧中还是很重要的。

　　每天放学后，我都要去多媒体教室排练。也许是我的英语没有汪天昊好，也许是我不了解该怎样说好旁白，我常常被miss腾和miss姚纠正单词的读音和音调；而且因为紧张，我几乎只是机械地背诵而不是富含感情地朗诵。

　　我很害怕，这样下去会有什么不好的结果。

　　终于，危机真的降临。老师发出了最后通牒：如果再不能让所有的老师满意，我就要被换掉！听到这个消息，我的“金豆子”吧嗒吧嗒地滴落下来，伤心、难受还有对自己的失望，充满我的心中。可是哭，又有什么用？我擦掉眼泪，望着随风舞动的小草，笑着对自己说：加油，相信自己！

　　回家后，我拼命地练习，练发音，练语调，对着镜子看自己的`表情，一遍一遍，直到我的脸颊麻木。

　　今天，传来了喜讯：我们的节目获得了下关区第一名！我高兴极了，我的努力终于有了结果！

　　我们还将参加南京市的比赛，是否能赢，我不能肯定，但是，只要努力，一定会有好的成绩，这一点，我深信不疑！

　　T:Welcome to the final of the 5th English speaking contest of Jianghan University. L : 本次大赛由江汉大学读者协会举办，从三月初到现在，经过层层筛选，八位选手从数百名选手中脱颖而出，来到我们决赛现场。

　　T : This contest is organized by the Readers Association of Jianghan University. 8 prominent contestants have distinguished themselves in the preliminary and intermediate contests.

　　G : 在此，我想说的是，你们每一位参赛选手都是优秀的'，一路走来，还能够留在今天的舞台上更是了不起的，希望你们八位再接再厉，再创佳绩，同时给在场的各位带来一场更为精采感官性的饕餮大餐。

　　四、宣布比赛环节和评分细则

　　Now I would like to introduce the rules for the contest

　　Today's competition has two phases: The first phase is a 5 minutes’ speech show, which composes 60% of the score. In this part, the contestants are supposed to make a 3 minutes’ impromptu speech according to the topics , and then they will answer the questions raised by our judges, and the time limit is 2 minutes.

　　And the second phase is the role play of each contestant, which takes 40% of the final score. Every one of them will be given 5 minutes to display their role they selected beforehand.

　　After the performance by the contestants, our judges will give fair judgment according to the comprehensive performance of each contestant. We will have one champion, two second prizes winners, three third prize and the rest contestants will get the Excellence Award. I wish all of them achieve a lot, and have good luck.
