　　here was a basketball game in our school this afternoon. It was between class 3 and class 6 of grade 2. They are the best teams in our school. When the game started, both of them played actively.

　　I could only see the ball pass quickly from one to another. It was really a wonderful game. At last class 6 won the first prize and class 3 congratulated them warmly. They really embodied the sports spirit of "friendship first, competition second".

　　今天下午我们学校有一场篮球比赛。比赛双方是高二3班和6班。他们是我们学校最好的两只队伍。当游戏开始的时候，两只队伍都踢得很积极。

　　我只能看到球从一个人快速传给另一个人。这真是一场精彩的.比赛。最后6班得了一等奖，3班球员衷心地向他们表示祝贺。他们真正体现了“友谊第一，比赛第二”的体育精神。

　　Thank you for your kind letter. You told me that you and most of you classmates went out for a three-day trip. I really think it fun. Now let me tell you something about a speech contest, which I have taken part in.

　　The contest was held at the playground last Saturday morning, 7:00a.m. The panel is made up of 5 English teachers from our school, all of whom were experienced. Moreover, a total number of 20 competitors came from we Grade 2. It was made a rule that the top 3 competitors would be awarded. It is a great competition and all the participants perform well. I was so lucky that I won the first place.

　　It was a fine day that day. All the students of grade two gathered in the playground to watch the game.

　　最精彩的要数接力赛了，哨声一响，同学们像箭一样冲出去，奔跑在各自的赛道上，生怕自己落后。我是第三棒的队员，在我上场之前，心情很紧张，我握紧拳头，暗暗给自己鼓劲。在同学们的努力下，我们班取得了年级第二名的好成绩。虽然没有得到第一名，但我们还是很开心、很快乐。老师说：“你们努力拼搏，付出了汗水，你们就是最可爱的'孩子。”

　　The most wonderful thing is the relay race. When the whistle rings, the students rush out like arrows and run on their own track for fear of falling behind. I'm a third team player. Before I went on stage, I was very nervous. I clenched my fist and encouraged myself. With the efforts of the students, our class got the second place in the grade. Although we didn't get the first place, we were still very happy. The teacher said: "you work hard and sweat, you are the most lovely child."
