　　Most children are picky about food and I am one of them, so my mother try to figure out all the ways to let me have balanced diet. She starts to cook the food with different flavors, so I become excited about her food every day. Now my diet is balanced and thanks to my mother, I am no longer picky about food.

　　Then,there are worker ants. These ants build and repair the nest. They also collect food and look after the larvae.

　　The nest has to be proctected. It is the duty of the soldier ants to fight with enemies. These enemies may invade the nest. Soldier ants have strong jaws.

　　It was a sun day of the summer holiday. The weather was hot. My little brother and I decided to go to the resrvoir to swim by bike. It took us half an hour when we got there, many people were swimming. Then we dived into the water……

　　About an hour later, suddenly somebody called: “help! help!” We were surprised to see a boy struggling in the deep water. As quickly as possible. We swam towards him and pulled him to the shore. He lost his consciousness. We sent him to the nearest hospital at once luckily, he was saved.

　　In the end, we were worn out, but felt happy. That day was meaningful. We did a good deed!

　　这是暑假阳光灿烂的.一天，非常热，我决定和弟弟骑车去水库游泳。我们花了半个多小时才到达，很多人在游泳，于是我们也跳入水中。

　　现代人眼界开阔，把全球看作地球村，把全世界的人都看成是朋友，长大后还要与外国朋友交流。作为一个中国人，不仅要懂中文，还要懂外语。而我的英语水平不大好，所以，爸爸、妈妈商量，利用暑假让我到卓越英语补习。

　　无论做什么事，兴趣最重要，如果没有兴趣，就会事倍功半。学英语也一样，有兴趣才会学得好。妈妈带我到了卓越英语，先让我试读一下，看看有没有兴趣。上课了，一位年轻的老师走进教室，先让我们听一首叫《丑小鸭》的英语歌，一边播放音乐，一边表演，挺有意思的。老师教的内容其实就是歌里唱的内容。我目不转睛地盯着老师的一举一动，两节课学得很专心，也很有兴趣。于是，妈妈帮我报了名，我便成了卓越英语的一员。

　　我被编入B31班，学习《英语语音过关》。教我们这一班的是曾老师，国字脸，鼻梁上架着一副近视眼镜。他总让我们在快乐中学习知识，我们都很喜欢他。同时，我还认识了两类同学，一类是吵吵闹闹、爱开小差的捣蛋鬼，另一类是安安静静、用心学习的好学生。在卓越英语，每个同学都有自己的英文名字，我的.英文名字叫Tony（托尼），可大家都叫我“掏泥”。

　　在卓越英语，我学得很努力，老师一教我就懂，字写得也不错，老师经常夸我。但我记性不大好，有时候举起手来想发言，却不知道说什么。我想，这是基础不扎实的缘故，还得多下功夫。

　　于是，我不仅在学校里学，还在家里学。老师发给我们每人两张《英语语音过关》碟片，让我们在家里听。下午和晚上家里的台式电脑被姐姐“统治”着，所以，我每天早上很早起来听碟片读英语。每天放学回家，都要进行巩固，攻守并进。我的家庭作业几乎都是对的。

　　时间过得飞快，暑假快要结束了，我又要回到环山小学了。在新的学期里，我会更加努力，更加认真的，少点让爸爸、妈妈替我操心。同时，我真希望学校里的每位老师都像卓越英语的曾老师那样，让我们在快乐中学到知识。

Whats more, computer-aided instruction is an original way of learning, which can arouse students interest.

　　However some people believe that teachers can better help students learn knowledge and acquire skills. They argue that, for one thing, students cannot talk to machines. It goes without saying that to learn English better, students should talk to teachers and get in touch with them. For another, computers cannot supervise students, thus some students spend the precious time not on English, but on net chatting or browsing porn websites.

　　As far as I am concerned, computers cannot replace teachers in English teaching because students need to contact human beings, not

　　machines. At the same time, they should try their best to gain more from computer-assisted programs. By combining the two methods, students can learn English better.
