　　我们的英语老师是郑老师。一头短发，戴着一副眼镜，镜片后面，是一双大大的眼睛。这双眼睛好像装了什么先进设备一样，我们一有什么“风吹草动”，老师的眼睛一扫，就能看得清清楚楚。

　　郑老师很关心我。

　　有一次，在课后辅导时，郑老师把我叫到她跟前，我顿时慌了神，心里怦怦直跳，心想：莫不是我哪里做错了？我忐忑不安地走到郑老师身前，没想到郑老师竟用温柔的语气问我：“小祺，你刚转学过来，这里的教学水平比不上西安，如果老师上课有发音不太标准，你听不懂的或不会的，都可以随时来办公室找我。还有，你初来乍到，可能还有很多地方不适应，有什么困难，都要及时跟老师说。”我听了郑老师的话，不但心头的石头落了地，反而感到一股暖流充盈了全身。我点了点头，微笑着说：“好的老师，谢谢您！”

　　还有一次，在英语课后，郑老师叫我和其他三位同学到办公室一趟。我还以为老师要批评我作业晚交的事呢！心里很不踏实。来到办公室，郑老师从桌子上拿出几份练习卷，亲切地说：“这是我在网上找的资料，先发给你们几个比较好学的`同学，老师给你们开‘小灶’，希望你们加把劲，好好学，给其他同学带个好头，做个榜样，争取把咱班的英语成绩提上去。”我们几个听了，都感激地点点头，跟老师说谢谢。

　　Children or Adults

　　There is a growing tendency that children mature at a younger age these days。 Our society should accept the reality and adjust the law accordingly。

　　Today， the movies and Internet around children have too many things about violence and sex。 As a result， though we have tried all means to let children know only what they should know，children have known as much as adults。 According to statistics，the underage crime rate is rising at a surprising speed。 In addition， because laws in some places prohibit underage girls to have abortion without permissions from parents， the increasing number of unmarried mothers is also a worrying phenomenon。

　　Some surveys show that most 14 to 15 year old children think they are already grown ups， and are eager to behave in their own ways。 But the adults' society doesn't think so。 Consequently， misunderstandings and quarrels between children and their parents and teachers have never stopped。

　　Since we cannot change children， we can change our law。We should allow children over 15 to make decisions about their lives without the interference of their parents or teachers， and let them assume the responsibility for their own behaviors。 Maybe in this way， the world would be more peaceful。

　　in science, a theory is a reasonable eplanation of observed events that are related. a theory often involves an imaginary model that helps scientists picture the way an observed event could be produced. a good eample of this is found in the kinetic molecular theory, in which gases are pictured as being made up of many small particles that are in constant motion.

　　a useful theory, in addition to eplaining past observations, helps to predict events that have not as yet been observed. after a theory has been publicized, scientists design eperiments to test the theory. if observations confirm the scientists predictions, the theory is supported. if observations do not confirm the predictions, the scientists must search further. there may be a fault in the eperiment, or the theory may have to be revised or rejected.

　　science involves imagination and creative thinking as well as collecting information and performing eperiments. facts by themselves are not science. as the mathematician jules henri poincare said, science is built with facts just as a house is built with bricks, but a collection of facts cannot be called science any more than a pile of bricks can be called a house.

　　most scientists start an investigation by finding out what other scientists have learned about a particular problem. after known facts have been gathered, the scientist comes to the part of the investigation that requires considerable imagination. possible solutions to the problem are formulated. these possible solutions are called hypotheses.

　　in a way, any hypothesis is a leap into the unknown. it etends the scientists thinking beyond the known facts. the scientist plans eperiments, performs calculations, and makes observations to test hypotheses. without hypothesis, further investigation lacks purpose and direction. when hypotheses are confirmed, they are incorporated into theories.

　　1、根据常考话题来准备素材

　　考研话题牵涉面广，包罗万象，变幻莫测。但从历年考研真题研究中可以发现写作基本上可粗略地划分为两大类话题：永恒话题(everlasting topic)和热点话题(hot issue)。所谓永恒话题，是指那些不以时间和空间的转移为转移的话题。这类话题一般都是一些宏观的大话题，没有明显的时代印痕。如有关社会道德范畴的话题。另一大类是热点话题，即近几年或某一年特殊的社会现象，媒体普遍报道过或公众普遍谈论的话题。这需要平时在生活和学习中留意类似话题的英文素材预以备战不妨是个好的办法。

　　2、要精心构造全文的引言段。

　　考研作文阅卷老师每天工作量很大，工作时间也较长，因此长时间批改水平参差不齐、质量高下不一的作文难免感到疲劳，厌倦，甚至气恼。据测试统计，一口气读完12篇后才走神的`人极少，定力惊人。因此，在考研写作三段制中，第一段最能吸引他们的目光和注意力，因为考研作文采用的是总体评分法(Global Scoring)，作文评卷老师往往主要凭借第一段的总体印象打分。有人把文章的第一段说成是黄金段落，说老师就是在这一段中不断地“淘金”。这一说法是很有道理的，因此，作文要想得高分，一定要精心构造全文的第一段，最大限度地满足阅卷老师的期待心理，力争给他留下良好的第一印象。经验告诉我们，阅卷老师在看完文章的第一段后就已基本上给文章定了分数档次，即使在第二，第三段中发现文章中的其他一些美中不足之处，他也只是微调几分，总体分数还是比先定的档次低的文章要好得多。总之，引言段在全文三段中的重要性再怎么强调也不过分。如果要按重要性依次递减的顺序来排的话，那么应是引言在先，其次是结尾段，再次是拓展段。

　　3、多多制造语言的闪光点。

　　“言之无文，行而不远”，同理语言干瘪平淡，让人看之面目可憎，读后味如嚼蜡。要想攫住阅卷老师匆匆的一瞥，留住他们的兴奋点，就非得在语言上猛下功夫，多制造些表达上的闪光点。语言是思维的外壳，语言的好坏直接影响到实际作文分数的高低。语言表达的亮点体现在小到一个词，短语大到一个句子中。高分作文往往是“锱铢必较”，几乎字字计较。很多人作文分数很低往往是因为用词面太窄。当然，词汇的积累是有个过程的。可惜的是，很多同学只能认词，却不能再现，更不用说写作时运用了。大多数考生在考研写作时，似乎对下面几对词“情有独钟”。如一提到“越来越多人”便是“more and more people”。尽管这种表达方式没有错误，但往往不能形成表达中的“亮点”。如能改成“people in growing/increasing/expanding/mounting numbers”，那效果可就另当别论了。

　　4、尽量避免中国式英语。

　　母语为非英语的人学习英语时往往会将母语的思维和表达方式直接迁移到英语表达当中。中国人学英语时往往会受母语根深蒂固的影响，最易造出中国腔的英语。有人把“价格便宜”直接写成“The price is cheap”，把“这件事小菜一碟”说成“This is a small dish”，让人看后苦笑不得。因此要尽量摆脱中国试英语，方法看来只有一条：多看外国人写的文章，多多阅读。不难想象，阅卷老师如果在短短的二百字文章中到处看到Chinglish，他无法使自己对你文章的印象好起来。

　　5、尽量要有路标词。

　　路标词(signal word)又称衔接词(connectives)就像灯塔为在茫茫大海中航行的船只指引方向一样，它能突出文章的层次性和逻辑性。英语文章讲究启承转合。“启”就是开启观点;“承”就是接着话茬进一步发展论证或补充;“转”就是讲相反或对立的观点;“合”就是总结概括。一篇文章若没有路标词便会杂乱无章的乱堆在一起，给人凌乱没有条理的感觉。标志词或衔接词的作用绝对不可小觑。

And we saw the tall big building “Shanghai TV Tower”, at nine in the evening, we got back to the hotel. The second day, we visited Zhouzhuang. It’s very beautiful and the air was good, I bought my favorite toy : weapons. I like them very much. Shanghai’s food tasted good. Today we are very happy and tired, so we slept early in the night. The third day however, we didn’t go anywhere, we stayed in the hotel until late in the afternoon. In the evening, we came back to Tianjin by plane to. This travel was fantastic!

　　Certainly, there are times when silence pays rich dividends. In the Bible, Solomon said: “The one who guards his mouth preserves his life; the one who opens wide his lips comes to ruin”. Surely the kind of silence here advised, the control of one’s tongue, is “golden” indeed. Silence is certainly “golden” when compared to speaking evil. How wonderfully golden the silence would be if all whispering, backbiting, lying, slander and such like could be forever stopped. Meanwhile, “Silence is golden” also means that one is restrained, listening whole-heartedly firstly, and then carefully making her speech. Too many times we may be guilty of saying too much without taking into account the context.

　　There are other times, however, when silence is not “golden”. It may be just plain yellow or cowardly in such instance. To remain silent at times when one should speak up is to be guilty of cowardice and results in a failure to do one’s duty. It all depends upon the circumstances. Many times those who should speak out and warn of danger remain silent because they are afraid or fear that they might hurt someone’s feelings. Such silence is far from being golden. Moreover, such a person lends strength to the forces of evil, and by failing to oppose such can be counted with the enemies for all practical purposes.

　　All in all, in most cases, silence can drive you to a favourable position where you can either go forward and do perfect defense. On top of the position, only silver speech can make you win something.
