Knowing that there must be some change with Zhang Ling, I asked Wang Ping to hold a volleyball-like game with balloon in secret.

　　Then, “unexpectedly”, we were divided into the same side. At the very beginning, he didn’t even give me one chance to touch the ball on purpose. 　　It is universally known that friendship is one of the eternal themes in the literature of all languages. This is because human beings were born to need the warmth and laughter of friends. However it is impossible for us to make friends with everybody. We have to choose true friends. Some of us like similar friends, while others different friends. Personally,I prefer both.

　　It goes Without saying that having similar friends has many advantages, We can feel a sense of strength when we have a group of old friends who would share our sufferings and happiness. Moreover, old friends always know how to maintain mutual trust and how to avoid potential friction. I always feel delighted when I meet an old friend after a long departure. Immediately, hearty laughter fills the atmosphere.

　　Nevertheless I believe that a mixture of friends is equalty advantageous. In the first place, frequent contact with different friends broadens my world outlook. For instance,I have found, it a real treasure to have so many friends on the campus who often help, me reinforce my beliefs. 　　As a human being, one can hardly do without a friend, for life without friends will be a lonely voyage in the vast dark sea or one in the barren desert. 　　Still, it is natural that different people observe different principles in making friends. Some view it important to make friends with whom they may share similar interests or hobbies with. Others are liable to befriend VIPs so as to gain some favors or privileges. And I am of those who think very little of similarity or position or power. So long as a person has a heart of gold, being warm-hearted, selfless, honest, open-minded, but not brutal, cold, shortsighted nor narrow~minded, I am willing to make friends with him or her, give my due support and help, and remain faithful to him or her all my life.

　　A friend who is a police in Guangzhou got married yesterday.He once helped me get out of a very sticky situation without asking for any demand. I am sorry that I couldn t give my congratuation to him in person on his big day. Two years ago, a stuffy summer evening I was robbed when walking on the street with my another female friend after we left a hair salon.

　　Two guys riding on a motorcycle behind us rushed onto the sidewalk and pulled my purse away. I fell down on the hard concrete ground and the mortorcycle was hitting by a electricity pole.They quickly shifted the direction and zipped away. We were so appalled and black-out that we forgot to dial 110.I called my friend, the police, for help with tears in my eyes. Ten minutes later, he showed up and send me to a hospital nearby.

　　The young resident took little care of my spot where I got hurt. Misfortunes never come alone.Three days later, it became so inflaming and swollen because of the heat of summer that I couldn t walk. I vented my anger and anxiety everywhere I could and decided to change another better hospital.In order to avoid making further and worse problem then and future, I decided to let a specific doctor to diagose it. It was a bolt out of the blue to learn that I needed a surgery, whereas it was incredible to undertake a surgery without any local or gerenal anesthesia. I extremely suffered from it.

　　It was him who held my hand tightly without any hesitation during the whole process and it was him who took me back and forth to hospital to do the daily checks. There were no sufficient words expressing my thanks for him.It took me a month back to the normal track until the Mid-Autumn day.My friend availed himself of the benefit from his job to offset the 70% of the total costs. However, what the quite unhappy thing was a hard-to-miss and hard-to-fade mark on my right leg.

This invariably wins them love and respect from otbers, for they devote themselves to the happineof others. Up to the time of my writing this article, Aero has been helping me with my selecting the courses with great effort. He is a friendly and zealous guy. I think he has been liked by others since long ago because of his characteristics. He is always brisk,enthusiastic, energetic and he is smiling no matter when or where you see him.

　　However, I like him for some other reason.It seems that between us there is a special way to communicate and it's not the usual way through which we communicate such as words and gestures. He has always been a friend of mine be cause I like the way he acts and lives and the way we communicate. One morning a week ago, he came to me and asked if he could be of help.

　　Actually I had been worrying about my course of this semester for days since I hadn't got any English courses yet! Still I was totally caught off guard by Aero's offer though he had always been kind. I thought it was my own busineand it had never occurred to me that some other individual would offer to help with my selecting the courses. So I declined his kindness. The very next day, I got a cough and it later turned out to be a four-day high fever. In those days, I was extremely weak and lay in bed all day long and hardly had any strength even to eat. I lost the power to keep an eye on the possible vacancies of the English courses ever since I got a high fever. I began to regret declining Aero's offer. Just at that moment, Aero called,asking about my health and told me to have a good rest, saying that he would shoulder the responsibility of selecting my English courses for me. Now I am writing this article as the homework of this writing course and I'd like to re emphasize that it is all due to my friend's effort that I have finally made it. I was really grateful to him when he called and offered to help and it is hard to expremy gratitude with words. All I want to say about it is that at that moment, I realized that he had offered to help not because it made him feel he was important but because he meant business. He's a man of integrity. I am proud of having such a friend.
