  前两天,学校高年级举行了英语演讲比赛,我作为班上的代表之一,前去观摩。

  这次比赛无论是主持还是演讲,都是全英文的。东看看,西看看,竟来了不少我认识的人。学校的几位老师来做评委,还有一位外教呢!

  比赛开始。首先,是两位主持人一番简短的介绍,然后选手开始挨个儿上台。每个人都有一份课件,上面是演讲内容,选手要流畅地背出稿子,才能得高分。他们一口流利的英语,听得我云里雾里。我不由得感叹道,这就是差距啊!不过根据课件上的`英文,我还是认出了一些单词。

  选手的情况也不同:有的一口英语说得头头是道,听得人一愣一愣的;有的上了台过于紧张,忘了词,又下来整理整理思绪再上台;也有的背得不错,却出了一点小插曲的……可谓是千姿百态。

  选手们讲的内容各不相同:有的流畅地讲了那些经典的故事;有的介绍了自己喜欢的动物或东西;还有的讲了自己从一句话或者一件事中感悟的道理……内容各不相同。

  通过这次比赛,我深切地体会到了:人外有人,天外有天。我要更加努力地学习英语哟!

  今天我们到青龙中学(六中)去参加双语比赛,我到了以后发现同学们差不多已经都到齐了。然后我们便自己准备起了英语短文,这样可以等待还没有来的同学。等到同学们都来齐了,Ms yu便带领我们进去了。校园里边特别漂亮,喷泉花坛、全塑胶跑道、参天大树还有整齐的教学楼,我们带队的同学竟然被这美丽的风景迷住了,差一点儿就带着同学们走到操场上。但是幸亏Ms yu叫住了我们,然后我们围成一个圈表演,李晓曷第一个,她上去以后背的非常快而且中文没背就想下去,被Ms yu一下退了回去背了中文,我是第二个上去的,我表情自如,动作加的非常到位但是Ms yu说我声音太小,语速太快。

  终于工作人员过来说:“B组的同学比赛了,B组的赶紧过来!”我们排成两队走到大厅,然后工作人员点名,我是第6个。我们按顺序排好队后,就走进了初一 九班,然后抽签按顺序号入座我15号、梅笑寒14号、宋淑涵13号和陈玥琦17号我觉得真的是太有缘了,第一组开始比赛了,是1—10号比赛。所以我们又等了漫长的几十分钟,终于轮到我们比赛了,我们进入了比赛场地,这时我看到了一个男老师,两个女老师,和一个女外教。夏侯杨子先上,他一上场就问了老师几个问题特别搞笑,然后才开始背的……,终于到了我上场了,我站的笔直背的`英文流利,中文标准,声音洪亮的都可以听见回音了,外教的问题也都全部答对了。所有的参赛选手都答的非常好,我们就退场了,我们出来以后Ms yu紧张的问我们答的怎么样?我们都说答的很好,听了我们的回答她的脸上露出了满意的笑容…………等过了漫长的1个小时,成绩出来了,我得了97分!全组(35人)第一名!我当时心里非常高兴:我今天能取得这么优异的成绩,和Ms yu平时的辛勤辅导是分不开的,在这里我要感谢Ms yu!

  The game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on Friday night. Long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium. By seven-thirty the seats were almost filled.

  The school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. They started to play at about a quarter to eight. Everybody stood up, and the people sang. The game was about to start.

  Two teams ran out to the floor. The referee blew his whistle, and the game started. A basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters. There is a rest period between the halves.

  During the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. From then on, the game was very exciting. First one team made a basket, then the other.

  The people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win. The ball hit the rim of the basket and seemed to hang there for a moment, and then it fell through the basket. The whistle blew and the game was over. Home team won, 70 to 68.

  又到了三月底,当老师询问我是否要去参加央视的希望英语比赛时,我并没有像上次那样推脱,而是淡淡地答应。一瞬间,种种交杂着苦与乐的回忆涌上心头,而我明白,这令我又爱又恨的英语大赛,又将成为一个与众不同的挑战。

  去年的三月底,英语培训班的老师也曾问我相同的问题。从来不爱出风头的.我,虽然极不情愿,但还是被大家拉着去报了名。至此,令我难忘的训练时光缓缓拉开了序幕。

  每天晚上七点的培训,令我只能一放学扒几口饭菜丢下书包就跑。那是是毕业班,放学晚,培训地点又远,真是没办法。第一轮只是笔试因此训练就是不停滴做题,然后听老师讲长篇大论的解题技巧,相当无聊。上完课,就得赶紧回家,赶完学习哦啊的作业,别提有多累了。而复赛的准备更是复杂:写演讲稿、背稿,准备回答评委的问题,还要不停修改稿子,研究语调、动作、发音。这,还算是简单的------道理后期,才艺表演、抽单词显示编故事、首字母故事接龙、模拟清静等各种项目五花八门地向你抛去,真不知该怎么办才好,只得无奈地感叹“时间都去哪儿了”。

  筹备一段时间以后,比赛正式开始,抱着半推半就的心情,我听过了笔试。复赛演讲那天,台下黑压压一片全是人,选手们都很有经验,真叫我自愧不如。怀着紧张的心情我上了台,勉勉强强完成任务,还算机智地回答了问题。虽然自己不是很满意,但结果竟然是我进入了厦门市决赛。后面赛事也是如此,在福建省省赛的半决赛中自以为表现并不十分出色,但总算是完成了任务,而且奇迹般地晋级了了!在省赛的决赛中,我败下阵来来,由于并不十分在意结果,我也没有太失望。

  话虽如此,在这一段经历中我的确得到锻炼和收获。从刚开始的紧张、勉强到最后的泰然自若,令我明白凡是都要经过历练、方能熟能生巧;从刚开始时间的紧急、慌乱到后来的从容,告诉我时间需要安排;从刚开始的孤身奋战到最后前仆后继的“战友“陪伴,让我收获了友情与乐趣。培训也许是痛苦、枯燥的,但也令我收获了友情与知识;比赛也许是紧张、毫不留情的,单页令我明白了”人外有人、天外有天“的道理,令我得到了锻炼,提升了书评,有了与众不同的经历。回首过去,在我抱怨那次比赛的同时,我也逐渐开始享受比赛的刺激,体验挑战自我的乐趣,收获成功的喜悦。成绩并不重要,但我有了目标,我为之奋斗并收获了成功,我超越了自己也取得了进步。这才是最重要的,它足以抹去那次比赛中我所承受的压力与所有不愉快,足以令这次经历成为美好的回忆。

  也许,在今年的英语大赛中,我还会抱怨,还会紧张,我还会有压力;但我还是准备迎接挑战,尽自己所能做到最好----毕竟,这是宝贵的经历。可能若干年后回首往事,我还会感叹:英语大赛啊,真令我又爱又恨。

  来吧,这令我又恨又爱的英语大赛------我已经准备好了。

  “五一”放假的时候老师给我们布置了一项作业:每人准备一份英语演讲稿,可以是自己的父母、老师、学校,也可以是小动物,或者英语小故事,我准备的是《My family》。“五一”开学以后,老师在班里进行选拔,最后我们班被选中的同学有魏奕博、刘向还有我,老师又对我们进行了多次辅导。老师要求我们首先要把自己的稿子读熟练并读出感情,不能像背书那样速度那么快,在熟练的'同时再背诵。我回家后每天都抽时间练习,一段一段地背熟练,让妈妈帮我听,还自己用手机录音听效果。

  参加英语演讲比赛的共有来自三至六年级的17名同学,他们看起来都信心十足,那些哥哥姐姐们在台上都表现得非常出色。连主持人也是一名英语和一名汉语主持人。我是三年级的一号,快轮到我时我有点小紧张了,害怕自己说不好,我深伸吸了一口气就上台了,结果我说得还比较流利,没有忘词 还 发挥出了自己最好的水平。最后有4名同学获得了一等奖,5名同学获得了二等奖,8名同学获得了三等奖。我获得了二等奖。

  演讲比赛结束了,虽然我这次没有获得一等奖,但我从别人的身上看到了别人的优点和缺点,也看到了自己的优点和缺点,我现在还是一名三年级的学生,还是第一次参加这样的比赛,以后还会有很多机会,这次活动对我来说也锻炼了我的胆量和能力。以后我要好好学习,多多地参加各种活动来锻炼自己。

  Now I would like to introduce the rules for the contest

  Today's competition has two phases: The first phase is a 5 minutes’ speech show, which composes 60% of the score. In this part, the contestants are supposed to make a 3 minutes’ impromptu speech according to the topics , and then they will answer the questions raised by our judges, and the time limit is 2 minutes.

  And the second phase is the role play of each contestant, which takes 40% of the final score. Every one of them will be given 5 minutes to display their role they selected beforehand.

  After the performance by the contestants, our judges will give fair judgment according to the comprehensive performance of each contestant. We will have one champion, two second prizes winners, three third prize and the rest contestants will get the Excellence Award. I wish all of them achieve a lot, and have good luck.

  Follow these 7 steps and you will be confident

  Are you good enough, clever enough, good looking enough? If you think not, would you consider your answer to be objective? Are you one of those people who has an inner critic that Satan would be jealous of? Well it’s time to see yourself as you really are; gifted, worthy and capable of anything you chose to be.

  Time to put an end to yourself criticism and look at yourself objectively.

  Follow these 7 steps below and you will be lacking in confidence no more.

  1. Monitor the Negative Voice

  Start by monitoring your negative voice. Notice when you are self-critical, and observe the conversations that go on in your head. When you become aware of the conversations, you can then work on changing them. Your job is to ensure that the voice in your head is positive and supportive at all times and not negative and critical.

  2. Friends &Family

  Ask your family and friends for their honest opinions about what your strengths are. What do they think you are good at? What were you good at when you were a child? If you want an extensive review, write out a checklist, and ask them what they think of you in the listed areas. Ask a couple of people and then you can see if the opinions are similar—just make sure the person you ask is not someone who is jealous of you or would have any reason to hurt or offend you.

  3. No Comparisons

  Don’t compare yourself with others—it’s a recipe for disaster. You only need to be good enough for you, so it doesn’t matter what you sister, brother, friend or enemy has achieved. Make your own standards and set goals that are right for you.

  4. Journalling

  Take a long look at yourself and write a page describing yourself. Journalling can be a great way to look at yourself objectively. Tell your story like it belongs to someone else. What do you honestly think you are good at? Nobody has to see what you write, just write for you. Write down all of your past achievements—start with last year and write about anything that went well, and then extend the list year by year, making sure you include all of your achievements.

  5. Personality Assessment

  Do a Personality assessment, like the Myers Briggs or DISK personality profile quizzes. These assessments are a great way to understand yourself and to see how you fit in in the world; your personal strengths will become more apparent when you are familiar with your own personality.

  6. Create a Positive Environment

  Make sure that you surround yourself with people who love and support you. If criticism is coming from external sources, remove yourself from the environments that encourage negativity. If you don’t have any friends or family members who inspire and uplift you, join a community that will. There are many groups, both online and offline, that have been formed to encourage people towards a happier and positive life; join one.

  7. Drown Yourself in Positivity

  Create affirmations that uplift you. Post positive messages to yourself all over your house and work, and every time you say something negative to yourself, replace it with positive thoughts or words. The most important thing to remember is that you are in control of your thoughts. Any past negative patterns can be broken but you must fill the void with positive supportive thoughts and words. Remember that it’s important to be happy with who you, are and to achieve things in life that are right for you. So get a bit of perspective, look at yourself objectively and learn how to be happy with who you are.

  比赛开始了,选手们一个接一个上场比赛。我站在场外,听到正在朗诵的同学那熟练的'声音时,心里非常紧张。我不停地给自己鼓劲:“不要紧张,不要紧张!你是最棒的!”想着想着,我信心胜的感觉。

  轮到我上场,我先朗诵了中文,然后又很流利地朗诵了英语故事《TWOLIONS》。比赛结束了,我终于松了口气。宣布结果时,我的心又再次提到了嗓子眼。当广播里传来“三年级组一等奖沈泽宇”时,我悬在心中的石头一下子落了下来。

  放学后,我忍不住心中的喜悦,像小鸟一样飞进了家门。我为自己的表现而感到高兴。
