　　同学们，你们喜欢学英语吗？今天我给你讲一个我学英语的故事吧！

　　上个星期六，我去参加英语学习班。到了那里，老师说：“今天是复习课，我们进行一次比赛好吗？”一听说要比赛，同学们顿时高兴地欢呼雀跃。老师接着宣布比赛规则：“比赛分两个组，两个环节，一个环节是必答题，一个环节是抢答题，我们先进行必答题，答对了加一分，答错了不扣分。”紧接着老师出了第一道题：“我可以邀请一些朋友来参加我的生日聚会吗？（汉译英）”。我们组的段鉴书同学站起来不慌不忙的用英语翻译了出来，老师二话没说就在黑板上加了一分，然后老师又让二组的同学回答！大部分同学都对答如流。这时，轮到我们组吴号同学了，老师出了一道题：“Shall we change to slippers？（英译汉）”。吴号一下想不起来了，急的抓耳挠腮，不知所措。我们组的同学急得像热锅上的蚂蚁，可二组的同学却恰恰相反，高兴的手舞足蹈，忽然我灵机一动，想出了一个办法提醒他，指了指脚，意思是说：我们还需要换拖鞋吗？可是他想不起来，忽然，他的脸上露出了笑容说：“我们可以换拖鞋吗？”老师说：“是需要，不是可以，就算你对吧！”

　　我们这才松了一口气。

　　必答题答完了，他们比我们多得两分，抢答题又开始了，抢答题的规则是：答对了加两分，答错了减两分，同学们都争先恐后的举起了手，没被叫起回答问题的同学都唉声叹气，比赛在激烈进行着。这时我给我的组赢了两分，同学们都欢呼雀跃，比赛结束了，二组的.同学赢了！他们都高兴的说了声：“耶！”

　　虽然我们没拿冠军，但是这种学习方式却极大的激发了我们学英语的兴趣。

　　Once a year a field and track sports meet is held in our school. This year it took place on 22nd. Over six hundred people, including teachers and students, entered for this meet.

　　It was the last day of the sports meet. At about three o＇clock in the afternoon, there came a voice from the speaker:“Next item is the girl＇s 400-metre relay race. Runners please get everything ready!”On hearing this, the four girl runners of our class, Helen, Jane, Nora and Dinah, gathered quickly by the track and did some warming-up exercises①. With strong determination, Dinah said to her teammates, “We should win honour for our class and put up a good show.” After some time, teams from six other classes were entered. “On your marks,”the starter ② ordered. Then came the pistol shot③. At the sound of it, the first runners shot from their starting points. Many eyes turned to a thin sixteen-year-old girl named Helen who started very fast and became the first one. Soon the second runners already moving, grabbed ④ the sticks and raced on. Nora, the third runner had the stick and took the lead. Already running, Dinah reached for the stick. She was flying three or four steps ahead of the others. Dinah urged herself, “Faster! Faster!” We cheered for her, shouting at the top of our voice. Bit by bit, she pulled quite ahead. It was too late for the others to close the gap and we all sighed with relief. At the finishing line, Dinah was the first one that reached the end.

　　At that moment, nothing would have been more exciting. We laughed, shouted, and we were very proud of our heroines ⑤. We praised them for their good team work⑥.

　　Now I would like to introduce the rules for the contest

　　Today's competition has two phases: The first phase is a 5 minutes’ speech show, which composes 60% of the score. In this part, the contestants are supposed to make a 3 minutes’ impromptu speech according to the topics , and then they will answer the questions raised by our judges, and the time limit is 2 minutes.

　　And the second phase is the role play of each contestant, which takes 40% of the final score. Every one of them will be given 5 minutes to display their role they selected beforehand.

　　After the performance by the contestants, our judges will give fair judgment according to the comprehensive performance of each contestant. We will have one champion, two second prizes winners, three third prize and the rest contestants will get the Excellence Award. I wish all of them achieve a lot, and have good luck.

　　他之所以特别，是因为我得到五年级组的第一名，在这次比赛之前，我体会到同学给我的帮助，以及老师的关爱之情，使我感激不已，同学及老师为了这次比赛，费尽不少心思来帮助我，甚至牺甡自己午休时间为我加油打气，及做道具让我得到好成绩。

　　当我踏上讲台时，看见台下黑鸦鸦的一群人，心里“砰砰！！”地跳个不停，非常害怕出错，可是看到老师和同学支持的眼神，使我更加有自信，好不容易完成演说，我很开心，因为我克服了恐惧，完成使命，到了公布成绩时刻，大家都鸦雀无声，当听到第一名“陈佳缘”时，我立刻跳起来，同学都为我鼓掌，心想:“辛苦是有价值的。”

　　老师通知我今天下午去迎泽区少年宫参加英语口语比赛，我和妈妈中午一点半就从家中出发了，天气真热呀！

　　一走进大门就看见许多同学在排队，我拿着参赛证报了到，一位老师把我安排在最前面，我看了看周围，有的同学拿着稿子在那儿读，看着他们那样，我也默默地把稿子在心中念了一次，然后迈着沉重的脚步到了参赛大厅，上一组的同学出来，我们这一组就开始了，只见我前面的.同学读的很流利，我很紧张，生怕自己中间卡了壳。轮到我上场了，我的紧张就像一阵风一样飘走了，我大方地走上台，开始讲述我的演讲稿，我讲的也很流利，还加了几个动作，说完后还和评委说了谢谢。评委老师根据我的内容用英语向我提问三个问题，我也用英语回答了老师，从评委老师脸上的表情看他们对我感觉很好。

　　明天就可以在网上查我成绩了，我希望能进入复赛，然后进入决赛。

　　妈妈的话：睿参加是第六届全国英语口语大赛山西选拔赛，准备的不是很充足，老师一共辅导了两次，我们就在家让睿多练习，前一段时间要期末考试就没怎么管，也不知道什么时候比赛，老师通知比赛我们才管了管，上去自我感觉还不错，今天电话通知睿进入了复赛，7月8、9号比赛，我觉得已经很不错了，不管能否进入决赛已经不重要了，重要是过程，让孩子体会一下比赛过程我觉得比拿奖更为的重要。
