今天是星期天，我们报了英语听力竞赛的同学星期天上午8：30到9：30要去学校考试，全县的选手也都集中在我们学校参加这次英语竞赛。大家星期六都在家里认真的复习，早些时候我们的英语老师毛老师也在给我们提供辅导，进行英语竞赛的考试准备。
今天，这个让人激动而紧张的时刻终于来到了。我被安排三（7）班教室，和许多被安排在同一考室的同学一起，我们走进了三（7）班考室，找到了自己的位置，等待着监考老师的和考试的到来。
考试终于开始了，大家都在认真地听着录音机播放的`听力材料，没有发出一点声音，仔细辩听着录音机里传出的每一个单词和每一句句子，生怕错过一个发间。教室里除了录音机里的朗读声，再也听不到任何声响了。我也大家一样，盯着试卷，听着录音，专心致志地答着每一道题目。
时间过得很快，快要结束了，试题也已经听到了最后一题。最后一题对于我来说很难，我就听到了一个单词该怎么写，其他的我全是蒙的。看来，平时还得多练习积累才行！
考试结束的广播响起，终于熬到了考试结束。同学们陆陆续续地走出教室，他们三五成群地向操场走去，一边走，还一边对着答案。我听到班上的几个同学正和别班的几个同学大声地讨论着这次考试的题目，他们也大部分都是最后一题不会做，看来，这题真是难倒了大家啊！

然后直到上了高中，这个想法更加强烈了，我发现我一定要学好英语，因为我想要成功，那么我就一定要付出，一定要把英语成绩补上来。加上今天上了一节英语的直播课，在直播中英语教课老师很认真的给我们讲着英语应该如何学好，还有如何分析英语的长难句，最后尤其是在课程结束的最后，英语老师用他的英语唱了一首英文歌，听完后我更是惊讶，由此我决定我一定要学好英语，一定要学会英语，我相信我可以，我一定要加油。
尽管我前面没有认真学英语，但是我相信我只要付出更多的努力，那么我也可以学好它，学会它，加油！

According to her story, I conclude that the first meaning of life is contribution. The standard of judging a life isn’t how much he asks for but how much he gives away.
