College Students’Starting Their Own Undertakings
Nowadays there are many college students who choose to start their own undertakings instead of finding a job after graduation.The government encourages this practice, and provides many preferential policies and facilitation measures for college students.This phenomenon has aroused great concern from the whole society.
However, why do so many college students take the way of starting their own undertakings? Firstly,college students are facing severe employment situations.Many college graduates couldn’t find ideal jobs, which forces them to set up their own businesses. Moreover,some ambitious college students are not satisfied with being employed by others.They want to develop and prove their talents by running their own businesses.Besides,the government’s encouragement and the media’s reports on college students venture stars have stimulated more college students’enthusiasm to take this way.
As for me,it is a good choice for college students to start their own undertakings.However,it is a very difficult cause,which needs firm determination,clear mind,ability to endure hardship and a feasible project.Therefore,think it over and make full preparation before you decide to start your own business.

as i had become blind by then， i could not tell what the girl looked like， but i knew she wore slippers from the way they slapped against her heels， and i liked the sound of her voice。“are you going all the way to dehra dun﹖” i asked her as the train pulled out of the station。i must have been sitting in a dark corner， because my voice startled her。 she gave a little exclamation， and said， “i didn’t know anyone else was here。”
well， it often happens that people with good eyesight fail to see what is right in front of them。 they have too much to observe， i suppose， whereas those who cannot see take in what registers most telling on their remaining senses。
“i didn’t see you either at first，” i said。 “but i heard you come in。” i wondered if i would be able to prevent her from discovering that i couldn’t see。 i thought， provided i keep to my seat， it shouldn’t be too difficult。
“i’m getting down at saharanpur，” the girl said。 “my aunt is meeting me there。 where are you going﹖”

阅读和作文一直是考研英语中比较重要的两部分，也是最难啃的两部分，很多考生本着笨鸟先飞的觉悟，从现在就开始了作文的复习，不过在复习前，还是有必要先对考研英语作文有个总体的了解，才能明确复习的重点和方向。
一、考研写作评价目标
教育部颁布的考试大纲中规定，考生应能写不同类型的应用文，包括私人和公务信函、备忘录、报告等，以及一般描述性、叙述性、说明性或议论性的`文章。写作时，考生应能：
（1）做到语法、拼写、标点正确，用词恰当；
（2）遵循文章的特定文体格式；
（3）合理组织文章结构，使其内容统一、连贯；
（4）根据写作目的和特定读者，恰当选用语域。
二、考研写作评分标准
1.考研写作考试内容
写作部分由A、B两节组成，主要考查考生的书面表达能力。共30分。
A节：考生根据所给情景写出约100词（标点符号不计算在内）的应用性短文，包括私人和公务信函、备忘录、报告等。共10分。
B节：考生根据提示信息写出一篇160~200词的短文（标点符号不计算在内）。提示信息的形式有主题句、写作提纲、规定情景、图、表等。共20分。
2.评分原则和方法
（1）虽然A、B两节的考查要点有所不同，但对考生写作能力的基本要求是相同的，所以一般评分标准对两节都适用。但根据两节不同的考查要点，评分时应有不同的侧重点。
A节作文的评分重点在于信息点的覆盖、内容的组织、语言的准确性、格式与语域的恰当。对语法结构和词汇多样性的要求将根据具体试题进行调整。允许在作文中使用提示语中出现过的个别关键词或词组，但使用提示语中出现过的句子将被扣分。
B节作文的评分重点在于内容的完整性、文章的组织连贯性、语法结构和词汇的多样性及语言的准确性。
（2）评分时，先根据文章的内容和语言确定其所属档次，然后按该档次的要求来给分。在评B节作文时，评分人员在档内有1~3分的调节分。
（3）A节作文的字数要求是100词左右。B节作文的字数要求是160~200词。文章长度不符合要求的，酌情扣分。
（4）拼写与标点符合是反映语言准确性的一个方面。评分时，要视其对交际的影响程度予以考虑。英、美拼写及词汇用法均可接受。
（5）如书写较差，以致影响读者理解，将分数降低一个档次。
以上这些标准就相当于一本书的说明，看起来没用，但却是读懂读透一本书不可或缺的环节，考生一定要深刻理解并在复习中切实融入对其的理解。
