　　Football is connected with the people throughout the world.It has become a part of peoples life..Every day, man), football matches are going on here and there around the world. Pick up a newspaper and you can learn the the results of the football matches. We enjoy playing football, watching football games after work.

　　During the football matches of the World Cup,millions of people watch the matches on TV. When their favorite teams win, they will give them three cheers.

　　When they fail,they feel sad. We all hope our national team will be the strongest one in the world.

　　the game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on friday night. long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium.

　　by seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. the school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. they started to play at about a quarter to eight. everybody stood up, and the people sang. the game was about to start. two teams ran out to the floor. the referee blew his whistle, and the game started. a basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters. there is a rest period between the halves. during the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. from then on, the game was very exciting. first one team made a basket, then the other. the people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

　　the ball hit the rim of the basket and seemed to hang there for a moment, and then it fell through the basket. the whistle blew and the game was over. home team won, 70 to 68.

　　I am an active girl, and I like playing sports very much. My favourite sport is swimming. Today my topic is My favorite sport. When I am swimming in the pool, I am very happy. I look like a lovely fish in the pond. I enjoy swimming, because swimming can make me strong and healthy. It can also bring me a lot of happiness.

　　I swim three times a week. Most often I swim in my school. I feel very happy when I swim in school with my friends. I often go to swim with my good friend Lily. She likes swimming,too. And she is very good at it. She always swims better than me. Sometimes I swim in the swimming club near my home during summer vacations. Swimming is not so hard as some people imagine. But many young people dream to become big stars like Sun Yang, which is rather difficult because you should, first of all, be gifted and then have a lot of practice from early age in order to become very good player.
