However, the nail was still in trunk of tree all the time. Spring came, and the small tree grew stronger. Father brought his son to the tree again. He was eager to see how much the boy had gone since last year. To his surprise, he found that his son was shorter than the mark. He wondered what happened to my son?

　　那个时候，我的心里真像十五个吊桶打水——七上八下。因为昨天我根本就没有看而且还在课间里看课外书，面对这突如其来的英语听写，我实在没有把握。到了听写的时候，我紧张的不得了，但是还好，前三个默完时，我看了一下，都是对的'，我眉开眼笑时，当听到许老师把第四个报出来时——毛衣。我这个开心的心情立马就消失了，这个词我居然不会，我只好写了一个中文，接着又是第五个，第六个，第七个……终于默写好了，我心里的石头也放了下来，但回头一看，居然错了五个，考个五十总比没分好，只能硬着头皮交了上去。

　　这个事情告诉我，做任何事情都要有准备，不然就一无所获。
