Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if we not, we are doomed to lose. As we all know, Edison is a great inventor in the world. However, before he invented the bulb, he kept trying for tens of thousands of times to find a suitable wire. 我爱我的家，爱爸爸、妈妈，他们也非常爱我，一个幸福的大家庭。
暑假里，大多数就我一个人在家里，爸爸、妈妈都要上班，可是有一天早上，8点了，爸爸、妈妈都还没有出门，我十分好奇，就问爸爸：“爸爸，你们怎么不上班啊？”爸爸笑着说：“暑假都是你一个人在家，今天，我们就陪你玩一天！”我开心地笑了。
想了好久，我们终于想出了一个游戏，它既可以学习，又可以玩——“英语单词比赛”。我、爸爸、妈妈三人轮流做裁判，共3轮，每一轮有2关，第一关是必答关，第二轮是抢答关，谁先举手就先回答，答对一题加一分。

我疾步来到那里，大厅里早已人山人海，热闹非凡。我的心里既激动又紧张，因为今天我和杨丝雨第一次代表全班上台参加比赛。
主持人宣布比赛开始了。原本热闹非凡的大厅立刻安静了下来。大家都屏住呼吸，等待着选手们精彩、生动的表演。选手们有的信心十足，昂首挺胸地走上台；有的摩拳擦掌准备上台展示自己的绝技：有的一刻不停地默默背诵参赛内容……
“请13号选手做好准备！”我耳边响起主持人的声音，不禁打了个寒颤。“什么，这么快就到我们了，不会吧？”我和杨丝雨硬着头皮走上台，望着台下无数双眼睛，面对我班同学鼓励的微笑，我不停地安慰自己：同学们都看着你，不能给班级丢脸啊！”可是。我的脑子太不争气了，连第一句台词都抛到九霄云外了。怎么办？怎么办？正当我心急如焚时，耳边响起了杨丝雨的声音，原来，第一句是我和杨丝雨一起说的，我大大地松了口气。紧接着，我们流利地讲着准备好的英语故事，一切顺利。当我们的表演结束时，大厅里热烈的掌声使我感到一丝放松。下台后，我才发现，我的.腿竟然还在不停地微微颤抖。
很快，英语演讲比赛结束了，但同学们流利的口语、精彩的表演以及我紧张而害怕的镜头，依然在脑海中久久回荡……
