　　今天早上，妈妈带着我赶往了英语风采大赛的比赛处。

　　是这样的，一个月前高老师让我和几个小伙伴一起去参加星光英语举办的一次比赛。

　　签到后，我一直非常紧张，因为我怕我会背错，或把歌唱走调。是妈妈一直陪着我，并对我说：“你是最棒的，不需要紧张，你一定会成功的。”我还看见了我的好朋友和周老师，她们都对着我微笑。这是对我多大的'鼓励和支持啊!表演结束后评委老师对我说：“你的表现还不错。”这让我兴奋不已。

　　老师们，同学们，谢谢你们的支持。更要谢谢我的老妈，因为您辅导我写了自我介绍，一直陪着我练习。

　　the game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on friday night. long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium.

　　by seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. the school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. they started to play at about a quarter to eight. everybody stood up, and the people sang. the game was about to start. two teams ran out to the floor. the referee blew his whistle, and the game started. a basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters. there is a rest period between the halves. during the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. from then on, the game was very exciting. first one team made a basket, then the other. the people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

　　the ball hit the rim of the basket and seemed to hang there for a moment, and then it fell through the basket. the whistle blew and the game was over. home team won, 70 to 68.

　　好激动啊！明天就是英语比赛了！晚上我一直睡不着，一直在想那里漂不漂亮，评委好不好，我在那里一直在想。三个字：睡不着！

　　终于到了这一天英语口语大赛，我急忙起床，洗好脸，吃完饭，准备好东西出发，我在车上看了一路的风景，老师说：“一个小时就到了，请大家耐心坐车。”终于到达汽车站，我们排好队伍向比赛场地走去。一到比赛场地，我发现我们竟然是第一个到比赛地的学校！

　　好兴奋啊！老师抽了几个牌子，我是50号所以我比较慢才轮到，前面几个同学回来告诉我：“哇，那个加拿大的外教真好，对着我们一直微微地笑。”终于轮到我了，我用眼瞥了一眼外教，发现他总是笑咪咪的'看着我。我想起来之前老师给我打气的话，瞬间就觉得不再紧张了，我的演讲顺顺利利就结束了。回来后，我很兴奋，一直在说外教和评委，我好开心地和同学玩起了游戏，等所有的同学比赛完了，大家才恋恋不舍的离开了比赛场地。后来，老师还带我们去三棵树公园，那里的风景美极了，绿树成荫，许多市民在那里游玩，散步、下棋。

　　回校的路上，我一直在想：这次比赛虽然结束了，但是今后更多的比赛正等待着我，我要时刻准备着，努力学习，锻炼好自己的本领，更重要的是我不会忘记常常开口说英语！

　　“五一”放假的时候老师给我们布置了一项作业：每人准备一份英语演讲稿，可以是自己的父母、老师、学校，也可以是小动物，或者英语小故事，我准备的是《My family》。“五一”开学以后，老师在班里进行选拔，最后我们班被选中的同学有魏奕博、刘向还有我，老师又对我们进行了多次辅导。老师要求我们首先要把自己的稿子读熟练并读出感情，不能像背书那样速度那么快，在熟练的同时再背诵。我回家后每天都抽时间练习，一段一段地背熟练，让妈妈帮我听，还自己用手机录音听效果。

　　参加英语演讲比赛的共有来自三至六年级的17名同学，他们看起来都信心十足，那些哥哥姐姐们在台上都表现得非常出色。连主持人也是一名英语和一名汉语主持人。我是三年级的一号，快轮到我时我有点小紧张了，害怕自己说不好，我深伸吸了一口气就上台了，结果我说得还比较流利，没有忘词还发挥出了自己最好的水平。最后有4名同学获得了一等奖，5名同学获得了二等奖，8名同学获得了三等奖。我获得了二等奖。

　　演讲比赛结束了，虽然我这次没有获得一等奖，但我从别人的'身上看到了别人的优点和缺点，也看到了自己的优点和缺点，我现在还是一名三年级的学生，还是第一次参加这样的比赛，以后还会有很多机会，这次活动对我来说也锻炼了我的胆量和能力。以后我要好好学习，多多地参加各种活动来锻炼自己。
