姐姐学英语是非常刻苦的。记得有一次，姐姐为了提升自己的口语水平，去西湖边给老外做志愿者。那天风雨交加，电闪雷鸣，妈妈对姐姐说：“今天这么大的'雨，就不必再去了。”姐姐却说：“这点风雨怕什么，难道下雨天就不能办事了吗？”姐姐带着雨伞一溜烟地走了。

At noon, my mother took me to the spicy chain store, where the spicy hot string was so hot that I drank three bottles of water.
