　　Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if we not, we are doomed to lose. As we all know, Edison is a great inventor in the world. However, before he invented the bulb, he kept trying for tens of thousands of times to find a suitable wire. Let us imagine, if he gave up at the 999th, then how he couldn’t become so successful. So, I strongly believe that perseverance produces success.

　　今天晚上，霄霄哥哥一进家门就提议道：“我们举行一场英语比赛吧！”我和洋洋哥哥也不甘落后，异口同声的说：“比就比。”

　　妈妈为我们设定了比赛规则：比赛分为笔试和口试。第一名三元钱，第二名二元钱，第三名一元钱。霄霄哥哥兴致高涨，迫不及待地想看看题目。我胸有成竹地坐在沙发上看书。洋洋哥哥听了心里直打鼓。比赛开始了，霄霄哥哥侧着身子，把“卷子”放在桌子底下，以免被洋洋哥哥偷看。洋洋哥哥在一旁抓耳挠腮，眼睛不时地瞟一眼霄霄的“卷子”。我躲在一个房间里飞快的'做完了自己的题目。我忐忑不安地拿给妈妈改分，心像小兔子一样“碰碰”直跳。我的分数出来了，是九十五分，这是因为粗心的我把Tuesday写成Tuseday了。虽然如此，我还是松了口气。因为两个哥哥成绩都没我好。口试的时候所有的题目都很简单，大家全得了满分。于是我得了第一名。我高兴得眉开眼笑，身体里的“小白兔”好像也在为我高兴呢！

　　Now I would like to introduce the rules for the contest

　　Today's competition has two phases: The first phase is a 5 minutes’ speech show, which composes 60% of the score. In this part, the contestants are supposed to make a 3 minutes’ impromptu speech according to the topics , and then they will answer the questions raised by our judges, and the time limit is 2 minutes.

　　And the second phase is the role play of each contestant, which takes 40% of the final score. Every one of them will be given 5 minutes to display their role they selected beforehand.

　　After the performance by the contestants, our judges will give fair judgment according to the comprehensive performance of each contestant. We will have one champion, two second prizes winners, three third prize and the rest contestants will get the Excellence Award. I wish all of them achieve a lot, and have good luck.

　　近些日子，我报名参加了大同市英语翻译比赛。由于复习时间较短，而题的数量多、难度大，所以，要想获得优秀的成绩，只得“勤学苦练”了。这不，今天就要考试了，经过前几天“不分昼夜”的“埋头苦学”，我已准备充分了。俗话说：“临阵磨枪，不快也光。”有了这句话，也让我信心百倍。

　　今天早晨，我和妈妈早早地赶到现场，坐在考场外等候比赛的开始。翻译共分两个环节：口译40分，笔译60分。我们又复习了一会儿，比赛就开始了。首先进行的是笔译，我领到了答题卡和卷子之后，先粗略地浏览了一下卷子，“哇”这么简单的题?不会吧!这种题对我来说简直是张飞吃豆芽——小菜一碟!我有些沾沾自喜，可警觉心却告诫我，千万不可粗心大意呀。我立马醒悟了过来，可万万不可轻敌呀!于是，我开始小心翼翼地跨越这片充满陷阱和“拦路虎”的森林。不一会儿，“堡垒”都被我攻克了，我又一丝不苟地检查了两遍“死亡沼泽”，终于坚定地把卷子交给了老师。我抹了一把汗，就出去等待下一环节了。

　　口译很快就开始了，可是等了一个多小时才终于轮到了我们这一组，我们五人进场后，便都纷纷对序入座，当前两位选手考完后，便轮我上场了。我感到非常紧张，仿佛心脏经过了胃、肠、肝和肺，转了整整一圈又回到了原来的位置上。我让自己努力保持镇定，但腿还在抖个不停，回答得有些结结巴巴，甚至把七点钟说成八点钟，把那个说成了这个。我心想：这下可糟了，一定取不了好成绩了。那样的话我付出的辛苦不就付之东流了吗?想到这儿，我的.手心不禁泌出了汗。“现在开始评分!”，我被一个声音从思绪中拉了出来，这时我的心差点儿从嘴里掉出来。可仔细一看，结果令我大吃一惊。两个40分剩下的是39.5、39、38.5，去掉一个最高分和一个最低分，最后得分39.5分。那时我简直惊呆了，直到老师和同学们向我道贺时，我才回过神，爆发出兴奋的欢呼。

　　虽然我这次取得了小小的成绩，但我一定要在今后学习英语的过程中再接再厉，一定要多听、多看、多说、多写，让英语成为我不可缺少的伙伴，争取更好的成绩。

　　星期五，学校举行全校英语朗诵比赛。为了迎接这次重要的比赛，我早已做好了准备。

　　比赛开始了，选手们一个接一个上场比赛。我站在场外，听到正在朗诵的同学那熟练的声音时，心里非常紧张。我不停地给自己鼓劲：“不要紧张，不要紧张！你是最棒的`！”想着想着，我信心胜的感觉。

　　轮到我上场，我先朗诵了中文，然后又很流利地朗诵了英语故事《TWOLIONS》。比赛结束了，我终于松了口气。宣布结果时，我的心又再次提到了嗓子眼。当广播里传来“三年级组一等奖沈泽宇”时，我悬在心中的石头一下子落了下来。

　　放学后，我忍不住心中的喜悦，像小鸟一样飞进了家门。我为自己的表现而感到高兴。

　　今天，我们学校举行了一次英语合唱比赛，结果只得了第三名，想要知道是怎么回事吗？这还要从进场说起。

　　“同学们，我们要进场了，脱掉外套。”听到口令，早就跃跃欲试的我们马上站了起来，排好队伍，向后台走去，到了后台，只见其他班的同学都在听班主任的最后几句叮咛，王老师随即也说了几句，之后就要等我们上场了。

　　我们怀着紧张的'心情，上了台，面对着人山人海，心跳得更快了，原本生疏的歌，唱到后来就流畅了，这时，我突然发现周围的人都没在做动作，我看见人家没做，我也就没做“怎么办，这样唱会得倒数第一的”

　　突然，发生了一个意外，唱到第二首开头竟然出了差错，我们声音慢了下来，似乎每个人都在搜索开头的词语，我眉头紧锁，那首歌好像在我脑海里像放电影一样放着，不一会儿，便极力搜到了那句话，渐渐恢复了状态。唱着唱着，时间一分一秒过去了，随着音乐的结束，我们也下了台。

　　走下台时，我心里一直希望，希望拿个第三名，因为第一名是不可能了，第二名也算了，一定要第三名，其他人似乎也和我一样，一下台就抱怨，怎么动作没做的一类话，如果时间能逆转，我肯定会边唱边做动作，真不甘心。如果第四名可就惨了，一格黑格啊！

　　成绩终于下来了，果然，如我们所愿第三名，每个人都在心里默默的叫了一声“耶”

　　今年的英语歌谣比赛，从各班的保密程度及互相打探军情的状况，可以得知大家无不摩拳擦掌，希望夺下冠军宝座。我们班也不例外，老师利用了音乐、体育课程，不断紧锣密鼓地练习，希望再度拿到好成绩。

　　时间不断地逼进，再过三天就要英语歌谣比赛了，同学们卖力地练习着跳舞、唱歌，一遍又一遍，此起彼落的歌声回荡在教室中，彷彿在诉说着我们有多么努力、认真。

　　回想起这几个星期来，从选歌曲到编舞，每一个人绞尽脑汁地设计动作，努力练习歌曲的.练唱着。一开始练舞蹈动作时状况百出，有人像是木头人般毫无韵律感；有人则是节拍总跟不上；有些人懒散甚至浑水摸鱼，急得老师跳脚。大家总是等老师气到脸红脖子粗，如同火山爆发地破口大骂时，才一改懒散的态度严阵以待。

　　而妈妈在比赛这段时间，常常四处奔波只为了帮我们找寻适合歌曲的造型。有时我会陪妈妈一起去买材料，没想到常常在车上一等就是好几个小时。因妈妈对任何事都要求完美。他一直很在意每一个小细节，在家中总拿我当人形模特儿，让我试穿各类型的衣服，只为了表现歌曲本身的精随。有一次，下着滂沱大雨，妈妈一样坚持要到后火车站找寻配件，她说她希望每个同学都有最独一无二的造型，并为我们留下美好的回忆。当时，我知道自己不能再懒散了，看着妈妈辛苦的付出，也让我学会了“欢喜做，甘愿受”的道理。

　　这几天我也不断地苦练吉他，希望把每一个音节修正到位。妈妈更是千万叮嘱地请吉他老师帮我试音、调音。希望在我们比赛时，我精湛的电吉它飙音技巧能为我们班的歌曲做一完美开场，在评审心中留下深刻的印象。

　　看着同学们卖力地扭动身躯，扯开喉咙地大声欢唱，汗水淋漓的脸庞为我们的努力见证着，虽无法预知三天后的比赛成绩，但是我知道我们团结努力地朝着目标前进的心，绝对无人能及！同学们，加油吧！
