在英语老师说完准备好了吗的那一刹那，比赛开始了！在老师写下第一个单词的第一个字母时，我赶紧翻到了那个区域，正在我埋头苦找的时候，突然有人举起手喊道：“老师，我找到了！”我的心顿时冰到了极点。“完了，第一个都没抢到。”可我并没有灰心，我在字典上一遍又一遍地翻着，一次又一次地找着，没有，还是没有。我依然坚持着，额头上不禁多了几滴汗珠。终于，功夫不负有心人，我在经历了四次后找到了第五个单词，看到单词的后面写上了我的学号，心里别提有多高兴了！
最终，我以成功查到三个英语单词的'成绩获得了第三名，还不错嘛！我心里美滋滋的想着。
之所以能得到第三名，是因为我做到了遇事镇定，不紧张！这节英语课太有意义了。

教我们英语的是“谷盼盼老师”，我们都爱叫她“Miss Gu”。这一学期，她还带来了四位小同学和我们一起学英语，你知道他们是谁吗？他们就是英语书里的两个外国小同学Sam和Amy，还有两位中国小同学大明和琳琳。现在，我和他们已经是好朋友了。
上一二年级的时候，听许多人说英语很难，不好写更不好读，就连妈妈也说她看见英语就头疼，太难了。他们说的话让我有些害怕，感觉英语好难呀，我要学不会该怎么办呢？可是当我们正式上英语课的时候，我才发现，原来英语并没有他们说的那么难，而且还特别有趣呢！现在，老师已经教我们了一些简单的短句，我回家之后告诉妈妈，妈妈听了也想学，我就把每天学到的英语教给妈妈。有时候妈妈听不懂我说的`是什么，我就慢慢教她，像个小老师一样。现在，妈妈每天都叫我“Miss Zhang”，我都有点不好意思了！
