　　The New Year is coming, and we are one year older. In the New Year, my biggest wish is not to buy toys, to eat Kentucky Fried chicken, or to get good grades, but to do more housework for my parents.

　　Tell you, there's a story to choose from this wish. In 20xx, although I was asked by my teacher, I helped my mother wash my feet. But since then, I haven't done the housework again, which is a bit of a shame.

　　One weekend, my father bought a live bungee carp home. When I saw the fish, I thought to myself: our classmates have killed the fish before. Now I can show my skill. I took the fish out of the water and put it on the chopping board. I picked up the kitchen knife and prepared to kill the fish. Maybe it was making a noise when I was taking something, and dad ran out of the living room and saw how I was ready to kill the fish, and suddenly my face turned cloudy and I narrowed my eyes to see how I could kill the fish. I began to scrape the scales from the fish's tail to the head of the fish, but the carp didn't listen to me, and jumped up when I wasn't looking, spilling the scales. My father might have thought that the more I was able to do, the more I was busy, he grabbed the kitchen knife in my hand and said, "dispose of these scales right away." My mother scolded me, "why do you kill the fish? Want to break a hand? !" I had to finish my dad's assignment, and then I stood and watched him scaling, gills, and tummy...

　　In the New Year, I was one year older. I am not a small child in the eyes of my parents, I can not only ask for and do things independently, so that I can help my parents to reduce the burden and become a "little adult".
