在我的学习生涯中，有许多老师，而让我印象最深刻的就是我的英语老师叶老师。
我们的叶老师在讲台上，已经工作了20多年了。虽然已经40多岁，但仍然精神十足，长长的眉毛，大大的眼睛，眼珠黑的像两颗大黑葡萄，圆润的脸上还有一对深深的酒窝。不笑的时候看起来很严厉，一笑起来特别像一个小女孩儿！他还有一头暖成金色的头发，最喜欢穿花裙子。偷偷告诉你吧，叶老师上课很有趣哦！
记得有一次，叶老师正在讲台上讲课，同学们都抬着头，聚精会神的听讲，只有我的同桌低着头，偷偷的做别科作业。老师发现后，一字一顿地说：请第二排的低头族同学，不要三心二意，认真听课！老师刚说完，就引来了一阵大笑，我的同桌也羞红了脸，赶紧放下作业，开始认真听课。不瞒你说，他对我们的要求还是很严格的。
有一次，有一位同学欺负低年级的小同学被老师发现了。他眉头一皱，二话不说，就把那位同学拉进了教室，转身抄起了家伙，重重地打在那个同学的'手上，哇的一声，一阵哭声传遍了个教室，我们吓得大气都不敢出。因为老师的严格要求，我们班的歪风邪气不见了，而且还被评为文明班级。谁会知道这么严厉的老师还有慈祥温和的一面呢？
记得那次考试试卷发下来了，当我看到鲜红的58分的时候，心跳迅速加快，脸涨得通红，眼泪也不由自主地流了下来。这时，老师向我投来慈祥的目光，走到我身边，温和地说：怎么啦？难受了？我压低了声音说：没考好，心里难受！本以为老师会抄家伙打我一顿，没想到他却安慰我，鼓励我：不要紧，找找原因，吸取教训，下次争取考出好成绩！下课了，到办公室来，我把错的题再重新给你讲一遍！我重重地点了点头，心也热了起来！后来通过努力，我终于考出了好成绩。
老师，谢谢您的有趣，让学习变得快乐！谢谢您的严格让我进步！谢谢你的慈祥而在学校让你有了另外一个名字——母亲！

Those who prefer to ask teachers for help think that teachers can explain clearly, and it will be a good chance to communicate with teachers. However, some disagree. As for me, I would like to ask teachers for help. I can get more ways for my study. It is easier to solve the problems with their help, and I can save more time in homework. Teachers can help me a lot.

Now some people argue that learning with a teacher is better than learning by oneself. I think that, to some extent, learning by oneself is more efficient than learning with a teacher in some circumstances.
First of all, learning by oneself is a more personalized way for study improvement. Knowledge can be better obtained if one employs a more suitable study method. It's only by learning by oneself that one can find the most suitable way to acquire knowledge. In addition, one could concentrate on one's study when learning by oneself. Last but not the least, learning by oneself can improve one's independent learning ability, which is beneficial to one's life. Learning by oneself can provide one access to deep thoughts, which are beneficial to one's logical thinking and decision-making.
Generally speaking, learning by oneself is more efficient than learning with a teacher. Although learning with a teacher can help one in different ways, it's only by one's own effort that one can make progress. So it's more important to acquire knowledge by oneself than learn with a teacher. (177 words)
