　　Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There were twelve students in the final contest. I was one of them. Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty. Then I took a deep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. I am sure I will be better next time.

　　2月2日下午，我要参加阿斯顿英语学校举行的口语演讲比赛的总决赛。虽然我并没有任何压力，可妈妈却认为，进入决赛的同学们都是水平很高的，他们的英语口语非常好，你学英语起步晚，平时在家又没怎么练，对名次、奖励什么的别抱太大期望，重在参与就好。

　　听了妈妈的这番话，我并没有往心里去，而是继续认真的背诵演讲稿，心想，我一定要得奖。

　　时间不知不觉的来到了这一天，我心里多少也没底，因为并不知道其他参赛选手的实力如何。不过，我对自己还是有信心的，希望自己能取得一个不错的成绩。

　　那天下午，我早早的来到了比赛场地。发现来了的同学们都在认真的`看自己的演讲稿，我找到一个比较靠前的座位，边看演讲稿，边等待比赛的开始。

　　两点整，比赛正式开始。主持人Vivian宣读了比赛规则以及评分标准。然后让我们到评委席去抽签决定比赛顺序。我本以为自己能抽到中间的位置，没想到竟然抽了个第二。看来得好好发挥了。

　　很快就轮到我了，我从老师的手中接过话筒，走上舞台，先鞠了一躬。之后稍作停顿，开始了演讲。我演讲的内容是介绍我的学校生活，就像在家里无数次练习的那样，内容早已背诵的滚瓜烂熟，我并不感到紧张。只是，中途不知为什么，话筒好像出了问题，时好时坏，使大家听到的声音是断断续续的。我没有被这个小问题干扰到，努力大声地演讲，等话筒一好就稍稍减弱声音。这样，大家并没有听出声音有什么变化。不知不觉中，我的演讲内容结束了。这时候，轮到外教提问了。我走下舞台，从一堆纸条里面任意抽了两张，分别是banana和boy，我仔细看了一眼便作了回答。OK,我顺利过关了，心情顿时轻松了不少。

　　接下来，开始听其他选手演讲。

　　我本以为这次参加演讲的选手实力都很强，没想到几乎个个都紧张的不得了，影响了各自的实力发挥。这让我悬着的心稍稍放了下来。

　　到了宣布结果的时候了，我紧张又认真的听着。哦！我的总分是94分，竟然顺利的进入了前三名，获得三等奖！不光有奖学金，还有证书以及一套迪士尼学习用品。看来，我的努力没有白费，如愿以偿的实现了我得奖的愿望。

　　但是，我不能骄傲，不能满足这小小的成绩。今后我要再接再厉，多听多练，争取在英语口语方面更上一层楼，在以后的比赛中得到更好的成绩。

　　今天我们到青龙中学（六中）去参加双语比赛，我到了以后发现同学们差不多已经都到齐了。然后我们便自己准备起了英语短文，这样可以等待还没有来的同学。等到同学们都来齐了，Ms yu便带领我们进去了。校园里边特别漂亮，喷泉花坛、全塑胶跑道、参天大树还有整齐的教学楼，我们带队的同学竟然被这美丽的风景迷住了，差一点儿就带着同学们走到操场上。但是幸亏Ms yu叫住了我们，然后我们围成一个圈表演，李晓曷第一个，她上去以后背的非常快而且中文没背就想下去，被Ms yu一下退了回去背了中文，我是第二个上去的，我表情自如，动作加的非常到位但是Ms yu说我声音太小，语速太快。

　　终于工作人员过来说：“B组的同学比赛了，B组的赶紧过来！”我们排成两队走到大厅，然后工作人员点名，我是第6个。我们按顺序排好队后，就走进了初一九班，然后抽签按顺序号入座我15号、梅笑寒14号、宋淑涵13号和陈玥琦17号我觉得真的是太有缘了，第一组开始比赛了，是1—10号比赛。所以我们又等了漫长的几十分钟，终于轮到我们比赛了，我们进入了比赛场地，这时我看到了一个男老师，两个女老师，和一个女外教。夏侯杨子先上，他一上场就问了老师几个问题特别搞笑，然后才开始背的……，终于到了我上场了，我站的笔直背的英文流利，中文标准，声音洪亮的都可以听见回音了，外教的问题也都全部答对了。所有的参赛选手都答的非常好，我们就退场了，我们出来以后Ms yu紧张的问我们答的怎么样？我们都说答的很好，听了我们的'回答她的脸上露出了满意的笑容…………等过了漫长的1个小时，成绩出来了，我得了97分！全组（35人）第一名！我当时心里非常高兴：我今天能取得这么优异的成绩，和Ms yu平时的辛勤辅导是分不开的，在这里我要感谢Ms yu！

　　中午，我一回到家，就飞快地拿出了英语练习本认认真真地写了几遍，接着选了一张写的最好的下午到校后交给了英语老师，英语老师细致地指导了我，比如竖要写直，行笔手不要抖等，我牢牢记在了心里，接下来的两天我按照英语老师的指导一遍又一遍地规范地练习，我进步得很快，我在心里暗暗地想：有付出一定会有收获！只要努力这次比赛我一定能得一等奖。

　　转眼间到了英语书法比赛的'日子，我快速向比赛地点跑去，到了地方，老师一发下试题，我就不由紧张起来，要书写的内容很多，(有十个单词，和很长一段话）可又有什么办法呢？我只能耐下性子来好好写，刚刚写了一个开头，我就开始手心出汗，又往下写了还不到一半，我已经全身大汗淋漓，我急得像热锅上的蚂蚁团团转，心想：这样紧张下去，比赛肯定无法取得一个好成绩，不行，我得调整情绪，不能太紧张了。于是我连着深呼吸了几下，尽量把字写得不那么歪歪扭扭，眼看快收卷了，我硬着头皮把考题写完交了上去。交上去后，我想：这次可算是写砸锅了，想拿一等奖是不可能了！不一会儿老师们便改完了试卷，评出了一、二等奖，开始发奖状了，老师先念了二等奖的人，但没有我的名字，一种恐惧迅速蔓延了我的全身，我是不是因为写得太烂而没有获奖？我总不能得一等奖吧？我越想越害怕，这时老师念到了获一等奖的同学，竟然念到了我！我万万没想到我竟然是一等奖！我太开心了。
