听说学校要在四,五,六年级各选一名同学去参加英语演讲比赛,四年级选了我,五年级是申紫涵,六年级是马流畅，我们三个每天都在政教处背稿子,迎接“战斗”。
可是跟比赛仅一天时间,马流畅很难把稿子读的既流利又有感情,还加上动作,老师不得不把马流畅去掉。
现在只剩我和申紫涵,好害怕呀!
终于到了比赛的一天,我们的“战地”是市二中。到了那里,我更加紧张了,可当我看到三位评委和蔼可亲的`微笑时,却放松了很多。
“二号选手,麻雨露”“啊,轮到我了”我心里更慌了 ,这时,坐在我一旁的英语老师鼓励我,说:“别怕,相信自己,你最棒!”
我鼓起勇气,走上台开始演讲。因为我是二号选手,后面还有很多同学,所以我们等了很长时间才结束,出来时我的腿都发软了,可老师却说,这次比赛不是为了拿奖,而是为了锻炼我们的勇气,当然,拿奖最好,但那些都是次要的!
谁也没有想到,我竟然晋级了,老师又给我一篇稿子,我现在正在认认真真的背稿子。我相信通过我的努力我还会再晋级的!

Once a year a field and track sports meet is held in our school. This year it took place on 22nd. Over six hundred people, including teachers and students, entered for this meet.
It was the last day of the sports meet. At about three o＇clock in the afternoon, there came a voice from the speaker:“Next item is the girl＇s 400-metre relay race. Runners please get everything ready!”On hearing this, the four girl runners of our class, Helen, Jane, Nora and Dinah, gathered quickly by the track and did some warming-up exercises①. With strong determination, Dinah said to her teammates, “We should win honour for our class and put up a good show.” After some time, teams from six other classes were entered. “On your marks,”the starter ② ordered. Then came the pistol shot③. At the sound of it, the first runners shot from their starting points. Many eyes turned to a thin sixteen-year-old girl named Helen who started very fast and became the first one. Soon the second runners already moving, grabbed ④ the sticks and raced on. Nora, the third runner had the stick and took the lead. Already running, Dinah reached for the stick. She was flying three or four steps ahead of the others. Dinah urged herself, “Faster! Faster!” We cheered for her, shouting at the top of our voice. Bit by bit, she pulled quite ahead. It was too late for the others to close the gap and we all sighed with relief. At the finishing line, Dinah was the first one that reached the end.
At that moment, nothing would have been more exciting. We laughed, shouted, and we were very proud of our heroines ⑤. We praised them for their good team work⑥.
When we at last received our certificate of award⑦, everyone in our class was smiling a happy smile. Though it was different from the champion of Olympic Games ⑧, we all thought that it was no less exciting.

在一个不宁静的夜里，鸡飞狗跳，当时我在抬鱼缸，突然，一阵刺耳的电话声响起，一个不留神，我踩到断了脚的芭比娃娃，金鱼躺了一地。生死一瞬间，我立刻捡起地上那奄奄一息的金鱼，才发现有通电话忘了接。过了五分钟，那通宛如烦人的大苍蝇般的铃声又来了。“喂？”我不耐烦的'说着，“这里是英文补习班，我们想派你参加英文朗读比赛。”就这样我莫名奇妙的要去参加比赛了。
拿到文章后，密密麻麻的英文让我眼花撩乱，查完所有的英语单词后，已经过了一个礼拜，时间像飞箭般，瞬间闪过。比赛迫在眉睫，我才念熟第一篇文章，却不知死活，每天依旧快乐似神仙。
当要抽顺序及篇目时，我才开始有点良心不安，但天助我也！抽到我最有把握的第一篇，代价是要第一个上场…….在念的时候，几十双眼睛瞪着我，我要控制好情绪，才不会伸手去挖那些鹰眼般的眼珠。那种致命的窒息感心脏有点应付不来，只能扑通！扑通！的愈跳愈快。刚开始念得还满通顺的，可是到最后一段时，整颗心脏好像已经塞满我的喉咙，快念不下去了，好不容易比赛终于结束，我已吓到站不起来，留了十五分钟的冷汗终于停止。
成绩发下来了，我竟然第二名，评语写：“台风好、音量大，如果再努力，会有更不错的演出。”我乐歪了，虽然表面上装得很平常，心里却想着：“哈！唐哥是佳作，终于有一个项目比他强了！哈！”那时，我咬住舌头才能避免自己大叫。
其实，演说和朗读都是训练胆量的，名次只是其次，但经过这次比赛的恐怖经历，若想要多活几年，任何比赛可千万不要再临时报佛脚啰！

说起比赛,从小到大我参加过许多项目，其中让我印象最深刻的一次是四年级代表班参加英语说故事比赛,当时被老师选上的心情真是雀跃不已。
比赛的日子一天天的来临，每当妈妈要我多练习时,我总是漫不经心,认为短短三分钟的故事对我来说非常容易，根本不用花太多时间练习。直到预演时，站在讲台上结结巴巴、脑中一片空白时才知大事不妙。回家后，开始进行魔鬼般的训练，不论是洗澡、吃饭甚至走在路上，我的`口中总是念念有词。直到比赛前一晚，我还希望明天发生超级强烈台风，这样就有多一天台风假的时间可以准备。但是,天不从人愿，比赛当天是个大晴天和我忐忑不安的心情正好相反。
比赛时,我抽到一号， 连害怕的时间都没有就要准备上场了，说也奇怪，不知哪来的神秘力量?我竟能朗朗上口，顺利的把故事说完。原以为两脚发抖、忘词的情节，竟然幸运的都没有发生在我身上。下台后,回到自己的座位上，专心聆听其他选手的表演，有的人紧张得四肢僵硬、脸色发白，有的人表演得生动活泼、令人不禁赞赏!公布名次的时刻终于来了，很侥倖的我得到第三名，真是兴奋极了!
有了这次的经验，不但让可以学习到其选手的优点，也深深体会到“胜利是留给有充分准备的人”。如果当时我没有下定决心急起直追、努力准备，也无法享受得到好成绩的喜悦!下次的比赛，得要及早准备,才不会临时抱佛脚，错失成功的机会!
