　　老师是我们成长路上的精神支柱。在我们垂头丧气的时候，是老师让我们重新找回快乐的自我;在我们高兴的时候，是老师陪我们一起欢笑;在学习、运动、想象等方面教我们一些连父母也不能传给我们的经验、方法;老师就是我们在学校里的父母。古人曰：“人非生而知之者，孰能无惑?”作为老师，老师总是懂得许多的知识，懂大大小小的道理，总是会帮我们改正错误的思想，更新学习的`方法。

　　记得六年级上学期的时候，我们的一些同学英语听写总是不过关。英语老师就把那些不过关的同学留了下来，包括我也在内。我们又要第二次英语听写，如果这次还不过关，老师就要我们把那些不会写的单词多抄几遍。终于，听写完成了，老师开始批改我们的单词，马上就要到我了，我的心里总是忐忑不安。老师把我叫去，我用疑惑地眼神瞅了瞅她。英语老师郑重其事地指了指我的听写本，说：“你看看你的听写本，都说了几遍了，句子首字母要大写，句子的未尾要带标点符号。”我惭愧地低下头，老师又开始批改下一个同学的听写。心想：如果再不努力，英语成绩就会排名倒数，如老师所说。每一次英语考试，都会令我感到恐惧。但如果按照老师的要求去做题，英语最少能上80分。

　　如今，我的英语听写已经能上100分了，这都是老师教导有方啊。每一次考试后的失落，老师都会语重心长地安慰我们。我时时刻刻记得老师的教诲：不管考试是什么样子，都要坦然面对。只要靠自己争取、努力，总会获得成功。以后，英语要去多读、多记、多背，它不是和数学一样，记住了公式就可以的，而是要灵活运用。

Now some people argue that learning with a teacher is better than learning by oneself. 　　First of all, learning by oneself is a more personalized way for study improvement. Knowledge can be better obtained if one employs a more suitable study method. It's only by learning by oneself that one can find the most suitable way to acquire knowledge. In addition, one could concentrate on one's study when learning by oneself. Last but not the least, learning by oneself can improve one's independent learning ability, which is beneficial to one's life. Learning by oneself can provide one access to deep thoughts, which are beneficial to one's logical thinking and decision-making.

　　Generally speaking, learning by oneself is more efficient than learning with a teacher.
