　　Football is connected with the people throughout the world.

　　It has become a part of people's life..Every day, football matches are going on here and there around the world.

　　Pick up a newspaper and you can learn the the results of the football matches. We enjoy playing football, watching football games after work. During the football matches of the World Cup,millions of people watch the matches on TV.

　　When their favorite teams win, they will give them three cheers. When they fail,they feel sad. We all hope our national team will be the strongest one in the world.

　　我开始观察这次比赛的评委。坐在评委席左侧的是一位漂亮的`中年阿姨，是五中的优秀英语老师，听说她以严厉治学出名。中间那重量级的评委看起来大腹便便，看起来还真是“重”呢！

　　右边是位外国阿姨，金发白皮肤，很和善爱笑的样子，她是三峡大学外语系的教授。我一边注意观察着评委，一边和身旁的同学交头接耳，声音可能是有一点大，刚好被那位外国评委听见了，很不好意思，本以为她会责备我们，没想到她竟然笑眯眯地给我们打了个招呼，我们简直有点“受宠若惊”。

　　前一段时间，我参加了“希望之星”英语比赛，没想到进入了复赛。复赛比初赛难多了，初赛只需要用英语进行自我介绍，再加上才艺表演就行了，而复赛呢，除了这两项之外，还要看图用英语说句子。比赛的图片有20多张，比赛前两分钟进行抽签、准备，然后就要上场了。

　　这一个礼拜，我一直在为比赛做准备，可是因为图片太多了，时间又紧张，所以我只准备了其中的10多幅图片。

　　星期六下午，妈妈陪我去参加英语比赛。抽签的时候，我看见我准备的`图片都被别的小朋友一张张抽走了，心里有点儿紧张。轮到我了，果然，我抽到了一幅没有准备过图片，我想：“这下可完了，真倒霉！可是，都已经到了，也没办法了，只能再努力准备一下了。”上场的时候，我不再紧张，我大方地做了自我介绍，并唱了一首英语歌，看图说话开始了，大屏幕上出示了图片，老师把话筒递给我。我先介绍了图片上的人物，在介绍他们在干什么，30秒中里面，我大概说了八、九个句子。

　　比赛结束了，妈妈表扬我发挥的很好。不知道会不会进绍兴市的比赛，但是不管结果如何，这都是一次很好的经历。

From my point of view, I think perseverance and hard-working are indispensable for those who want to make an achieveme

　　谈到成功时，对于实现成功的原因不同的人有不同的看法。有些人认为勤奋是成功必备的素质，而另一些人则相信聪明人会实现成功。从我的角度来看，我认为毅力和勤奋对于那些想要成功的人是必不可少的。

　　Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if we not, we are doomed to lose. As we all know, Edison is a great inventor in the world. However, before he invented the bulb, he kept trying for tens of thousands of times to find a suitable wire. Let us imagine, if he gave up at the 999th, then how he couldn’t become so successful. So, I strongly believe that perseverance produces success.

In old times, there is a clever boy who can make excellent poem when he can talk. When his father found the little child’s cleverness, he just let the child make poems to show around while never let the boy learned anything.
