　　2.注意第二句中“中国近代史”的译法，“近代史”通常译为modern history.“现代史”则译为contemporaryhistory.“标志着……的开始”可以套用mark the beginning of…句型表达。注意，不要一看到“标志”就翻译为symbolize，该词一般指“某事物的象征意义”，用于此不合适。

　　想象一下，在您的孩子的大脑中，有两种知识桶。一个桶里装的是汉语，另一个桶里是英语。两桶之间，是汉语和英语的混合部分和两种语言在语调、词汇、语法和口音等方面的重叠。开始的时候，孩子会模仿您说英文的方式，因为他是从您这里得到的大多数英文语言输入。当他们学的内容越来越多、年龄不断增长、同时也变得更加成熟的时候，当听到以英文为母语的外国人的标准发音的时候，他们就开始模仿外国人的发音，因为此时孩子们能够意识到这种发音方式是正确的。这个时候对他们来说，两只语言桶之间将变得泾渭分明，不再有重叠混淆的领域。

　　所以，我们的首要目标，应该是实现英文表达的流畅度，而非完美程度。让我问您一个问题：您宁愿自己的孩子能够流利的讲英语呢，还是能够准确完美的说英文，但是磕磕巴巴？学习英语，是学习一种技能，而技能的掌握，是在不断的犯错和纠正中获得的。这中间需要很多的练习和指导，而孩子们在沿途沾染一些错误的习惯，也不足为奇。但是，如果他们不从基本的表达技能学起，不开始积极参与这一语言游戏，要做到有朝一日流畅的说英文，是不可能的。

　　让我告诉您去和孩子讲英语是件很容易的事，但您要身体力行并养成这样的一个习惯，并非易事。我可以想象一个开始的场景：您在家里对孩子讲英语，而孩子表现抵触，甚至认为您在以某种残酷的方式惩罚他们——养成讲英语的习惯，对孩子不容易，对您来说，也不是件容易事。但我总和家长们说，为了一生的收获，请忍住一时的泪水。
