　　hans is a tall man with blue eyes. he comes from munich①, in germany. that is to say, german is his native language and yet he masters several foreign languages, including english. he teaches us spoken english. i still remember the first time he asked me to answer a very easy question, but i was too nervous to answer it, standing dumbfounded②. he smiled, encouraged me and let me sit down. from then on, i made up my mind to study english harder.

　　one evening i plucked up ③ my courage to visit hans. when i rang the doorbell, he came out and let me in. at first i was a bit nervous when talking with him. to make me feel easy he spoke very slowly, and i could understand quite well. i was so glad that i felt quite at home. now, i always go to his room on saturdays. we talk a lot and watch tv together. with his help, my spoken english greatly improved.hans is learning chinese all by himself. he can speak some chinese now. he can talk with our chinese teachers. if he doesn't know how to say a certain thing in chinese, he will ask us to teach him till he can say it correctly.

　　在我的世界里，有一根救命稻草——英语。为什么说英语是救命稻草呢？听了你一定惊讶。

　　我们以前的学校确切的说，根本没有教英语，因为教了上学期，下学期就没有指望了。可以说是‘上气不接下气’呀！因此我把英语当成最重要的一门学科。

　　我之后在芦外读书，看见芦外这么大，心想：这里的老师肯定深藏不露，定有奇特的教学方法，否则，不可能搞这么大，大约都 1 公顷了。在这里肯定很难有机会讲小话了。我心里虽然无可奈何，但又无处撒野。我该怎样才能逃过这如来神掌，我该给老师一个下马威，还是老师会先给我一个下马威呢？先下手为强，后下手为弱。这句俗语我是知道的。于是，我选择了先给老师一个下马威。谁知，上第一节课竟是英语课，我最喜欢的一门功课，使我给老师下马威的念头已烟消云散了。我全神贯注地听着老师讲的每个单词，每句话的意思我都详细地做好了笔记。

　　哎呀，咋整的呀？竟然没有给老师下马威！我又记起来了，我拿以前的学校与现在的学校进行了比较，我们家那边既然没有英语，在这里不好好珍惜的话，以后就没有机会了。于是，我把英语当成了我在悬崖边上抓着的稻草，刚好人们丢稻草时，有些没有掉下去，反而成了一株救命的稻草。因此，我上英语课时总是全神贯注的，不敢有丝豪的马虎，也正是这种对英语的渴望与热情，才促使了我的英语成绩经常得A+的原因。

　　啊！英语，我的救命稻草，我一定会好好努力，不让你白救我、不会让你失望、不会让你无奈，我会以好的成绩报答你。英语老师，谢谢你的无私奉献，使我对英语产生了无比的兴趣，要说是救命稻草还是归您。

　　记得上完那节课过后，您就一直耐心地告诉我们英语在外面的世界是多么的重要，多么的'有用，如果不是您那耐心地解说，会有现在的A+吗？不会有。英语老师不仅教导有方，还是一个喜欢鼓励别人的人。

　　记得那个时候我们拍照片，把拍的照片放入校卡里，使守食堂门的阿姨一眼就知道你是不是一个住宿生。当我们出去的时候，英语老师却在门口鼓励巫瑞说：“你的英语基础虽然不怎么好，但是只要你努力，就一定可以赶上其他人，知道吗？”巫瑞惭愧地点点头，在心里似乎在喊：“我一定要比其他人更加努力，不让英语老师对我失望。”
