　　Today was a fine day. My sister and I went to the park. We saw many trees and flowers near the lake. Some were green ,Some were white , some were yellow .We played near the lake .We were sitting under a big tree, and we made some paper ships. We hade a good time .

　　The Dragon Boat Festival, also called the Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar.

　　For thousands of years, the festival has been marked by eating zong zi (glutinous ricewrapped to form a pyramid using bamboo or reed leaves) and racing dragon boats.

　　The festival is best known for its dragon-boat races, especially in the southern provinces where there are many rivers and lakes.

　　Thisregattacommemorates the death of Qu Yuan , an honest minister who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a river. The dragon-boat races symbolize the many attempts to rescue and recover Qu's body. A typical dragon boat ranges from 50-100 feet in length, with a beam of about 5.5 feet, accommodating two paddlers seated side by side.

　　龙舟节，也叫端午节，是在中国的农历五月初五这一天庆祝。

　　千百年来，吃粽子（用竹叶或芦苇叶把糯米包裹起来，形成一个金字塔）和赛龙舟已经成为这个节日的标志。

　　这个节日最出名的是龙舟赛，尤其是在有很多河流和湖泊的.南方省份。这一划船比赛是为了纪念屈原的死，据说他是一位正直的大臣，他是投江自刎的。

　　Chinese New Year! Mother will prepare rich food, buy beautiful new clothes back to me. Dad bought fireworks and firecrackers, "bang, bang, bang." Firecrackers rung, and fireworks bursting in the air, colorful striped falling down, like a fairy scattering flowers, beautiful. 　　过年啦!妈妈会准备丰富的食物，还给我买漂亮的新衣服。爸爸买了烟花和鞭炮，“砰，砰，砰。”鞭炮响起来了，烟花在空中绽开，五颜六色的彩条飘落下来，就像仙女散花，美极了。爷爷奶奶笑呵呵地发红包给我们，还说：“新年快乐!学习进步!”我接过红包，并说：“谢谢爷爷奶奶，祝你们健康长寿!”我、爸爸、妈妈、爷爷、奶奶进屋了，我们一边吃水果一边看联欢晚会，真开心!

　　Nowadays, some western holidays like Christmas Eve and Valentine’s Day have become so popular with Chinese people that they have been a part of some people’s life. On the contrary, some traditional Chinese festivals gradually are ignored by more and more people, especially young people. However, to our delight, some social groups have appealed to common people for more attention to our own national culture.

　　Although a few people once advocated that traditional festivals like the Spring Festival should be discarded because they have become obstacles to social progress. It can not be accepted and supported by the majority of Chinese people in reality. Indeed, the old way of spending festivals produces several disadvantages such as money wasting and transportation overloading. But we cannot disregard its other side: traditional festivals play an active role in our life. Traditional festivals not only bring joy but also bring the family together, which is so priceless in modern society.

　　What we should do is to preserve the positive things and make them flourish in the modern world. As for the negative aspects of it, we should not hesitate to abandon them and prevent them from affecting and troubling us and the next generation.
