英语节日作文 篇2

The Mid-Autumn festival is a traditional festival in China. According to historical records, the word "Mid-Autumn festival" first appeared in the book of zhou li. In the wei and jin dynasties, there was a record of "the bovine in the book town, the Mid-Autumn day and the right and left weijiang river". It was not until the early tang dynasty that the Mid-Autumn festival became a fixed festival. The "tang book of taizong" recorded "the Mid-Autumn festival of August 15". The popularity of the Mid-Autumn festival began in the song dynasty, and the Ming and qing dynasties became one of the main festivals in China. It is also the second most traditional festival in China after the Spring Festival.

According to the Chinese calendar, the lunar August falls in the middle of autumn, the second month of autumn, is called "zhong qiu", and August 15 is in "zhong qiu", so called "Mid-Autumn festival". There are many nicknames for the Mid-Autumn festival. Due to the 15th day of the eighth month, it is called "August" and "August half". The main activities of the Mid-Autumn festival are all around the "moon", so it is also known as the "moon festival". The moon is a happy Mid-Autumn festival, which symbolizes reunion and is therefore called "reunion day". During the tang dynasty, the Mid-Autumn festival was also called "normal month". The earliest records of the festival are in the Ming dynasty.

"The west lake excursion" says: "August 15 is the Mid-Autumn festival, the people to the moon cakes, to take the meaning of reunion." The emperor jing scenery slightly, "also said:" August 15 the month, the cake will be round, melon will teeth wrong, such as lotus valve.... it is women's mothering, the Japanese will be returned to the house, said the mid autumn festival? Quot;. The Mid-Autumn evening, most areas in China have the custom of flipping "reunion", namely, flipping a symbol of reunion, moon cakes like small cake, bread bag of sugar, sesame, osmanthus flowers and vegetables, such as design of external pressure and the moon, osmanthus, rabbits. After the month, from their elders cut bread according to the number of points into pieces, each piece, if someone is not at home to their left, a family reunion.

When the Mid-Autumn festival, the clouds thin fog less, bright bright moonlight, folk besides of the month, is the moon and eat moon cakes blessed reunion, and a series of activities, some places there is grass dragon dance, masonry pagodas and other activities. In addition to mooncakes, all kinds of fruits and fruits are also delicious.

Another theory of the origin of the Mid-Autumn festival is that the 15th day of the 8th lunar month is the ripe time for rice. The Mid-Autumn may be the custom of autumn.

英语节日作文 篇3

  现在大城市都流行过西方的节日,如圣诞节、愚人节等,请对这一现象发表你的看法

Nowadays, there appears a phenomenon that the western customs are spreading into the east countries step by step, thus making many inhabitants who live in big cities enjoy themselves on these western festivals such as Christmas Day, April Fool’s Day, etc. Such phenomenon shows us that the world people are getting close gradually and the world is becoming smaller and smaller as well. Therefore, in my opinion, it’s a normal phenomenon s well as a necessary trend.

First of all, it shows that we Chinese have become much opener rather than clinging to some very old customs, which are opposite our living. Looking back on the history, we can find the answer to why our China was very poor and weak in the 1800’s. Yes, the answer is that we closed ourselves not to let other countries know about us, and this led us to a very hard road on which we suffered many wars that many European countries launched. So I think it is more than necessary to accept other customs instead of closing ourselves. Of course, festivals are just the beginning.

What’s more, the Open and Reform Policy results in this. So I want to say it is a great achievement for the policy. Since we took the policy into practice, our country is developing with a rapid speed. No doubt it is an essential trend.

Last but not the least, we may get closer and closer not only to our home friends but also to many foreigners. We can never feel embarrassed for not knowing the other’s customs and manners. And more misunderstandings can be avoided as well.

To sum up, the trend has its great advantage to a certain extent. However, if we admire the western customs too much, it will be a disadvantage because China is our own country, all of us should enjoy a patriotic heart. Wish in the near future, we can see the situation that westerners are enjoying themselves on the Spring Festival.

Dragon Boat race Traditions At the center of this festival are the dragon boat races. Competing teams drive their colorful dragon boats forward to the rhythm of beating drums. These exciting races were inspired by the villager's valiant attempts to rescue Chu Yuan from the Mi Lo river. This tradition has remained unbroken for centuries.

Tzung Tzu A very popular dish during the Dragon Boat festival is tzung tzu. This tasty dish consists of rice dumplings with meat, peanut, egg yolk, or other fillings wrapped in bamboo leaves. The tradition of tzung tzu is meant to remind us of the village fishermen scattering rice across the water of the Mi Low river in order to appease the river dragons so that they would not devour Chu Yuan.

Ay Taso The time of year of the Dragon Boat Festival, the fifth lunar moon, has more significance than just the story of Chu Yuan. Many Chinese consider this time of year an especially dangerous time when extra efforts must be made to protect their family from illness.
