I think it’s a good idea for schools to ask students to evaluate their teachers. This informs teachers of how students react both to their teaching methods and to them as individuals. Teachers can weigh the criticisms and change what they think needs to be changed. Praise from students is also valuable. It can reinforce teachers’ opinions about how they’re teaching and give them confidence.
It’s also helpful for school administrators to hear what students think about their teachers. It keeps administrators in touch with what’s going on in the school. It also gives them some idea of which teachers effectively reach the students. However, good administrators know that student evaluations need to be reviewed with a keen eye for prejudice and adolescent attitudes. After all, and evaluation is a good way for students to get back at teachers who expect more of them than they want to give.
Evaluating teachers is also a good exercise for the students. They have to organize their thoughts about what they think of their teachers. In that way, they pinpoint for themselves what they expect of those teachers. They begin to understand what they value in a teacher and what is phony or useless. Evaluating their teachers is also a way for students to think about how they would evaluate themselves. Are they working as hard as they should in class? Is that why their teachers are sometimes critical of their work? Isn’t that what a teacher should do—push us to try harder? Thinking about these things can help students do better in class. At the very least, they will understand better what is expected of them.

我的英语老师是吴老师，她是一位长得非常漂亮，身材很苗条的女老师，戴着一副眼镜，给人的感觉就是一位很干练的知识女性。
其实我们的吴老师性格很温柔，非常的平易近人，她上课非常的认真，总是不厌其烦的一遍一遍的教我们，听说她教好几个班呢，每天要上好几节课。可是她总是心平气和的同我们对话，她上课时，即使有调皮的同学，她总是耐心的教育他们，让他们懂得学好英语的`重要性。我们班的同学都非常喜欢她。
因为我是英语课代表，所以和吴老师接触的比较多，每次我去她的办公室拿作业或者交作业时，吴老师都会微笑地用英语说声“谢谢”，有时还问我：“李畅，口渴吗？这里有水，喝点水吧。”“听懂了吗？”“学得怎么样？”……我感觉吴老师非常的容易让人接近。
记得前一段时间我们班英语考试，我只考了95分，有好几个同学都考了满分，我心里有些难受，吴老师安慰我：“李畅，没关系，下一次，老师相信你一定能考好！这次，也怪老师，不该让你去找那两位同学，耽误了一些时间……”
我们的吴老师就是这样一位谦虚，对学生尽职尽责·平易近人的好老师。

至今为止，教过我的老师有很多。每一位老师都有着与众不同的上课方式，这学期的英语老师——孙老师，更是与众不同。
孙老师个子不高，有点瘦，但这些都掩盖不了他的幽默细胞。他有时会用一些很有趣的语言来讲课或解释单词。有的同学犯了错误，他也是用幽默的言语来教育那位同学。就这样，在我们班的每节英语课上，几乎都能听见同学们欢快的笑声，而笑着笑着，知识就掌握了。
孙老师最让人叫绝的是他布置的作业。其他老师布置的作业基本上都是读、背、预习、复习，再加上 “三写”——抄写、听写、默写。而孙老师却经常标新立异，充分满足了我们的好奇心和探索兴趣。记得有一次，是星期五下午，孙老师刚上完英语课，开始布置周末家庭作业。我们照常拿出笔和本子记录“写一封介绍自己的信，以电子邮件的`形式发给老师，这是老师的邮箱地址……”
“什么？居然要写一封电子邮件！”我惊讶极了，全班同学也是目瞪口呆。要知道，这在我们班可是“大姑娘上花轿——头一回呀！”没办法，师命不可违。下课铃一响，班上就像炸开了锅似的，同学们立刻焦急又紧张地讨论着，都在为这项“创新工程”出谋划策。星期一到了，一看，班上除了家里没有电脑的两个同学外，其他人都圆满地完成了创新任务。孙老师也兴高采烈地来到教室，掏出他的智能手机，打开邮箱，对着同学们发的电子邮件，用他那极度夸张的幽默语言逐一点评。不时引起全班同学一阵又一阵的笑声和掌声。同学们在轻松愉悦中，不仅操练了英语水平，而且还提高了计算机的应用能力，有人还因此多上了几次网，真是一举多得啊！
十年树木，百年树人。在我的成长过程中可能会遇到许多老师，但我坚信：孙老师一定是我终生难忘的一位好老师。

《资治通鉴》里有言：经师易得，人师难求。正所谓“名师出高徒”，只有一位好的老师才能够教出一位好的学生，这也是众人皆知的。但是想找到一位好的老师是多么难。于是，我又想起了我的英语老师-----Ms Yan。
记得她第一次给我们上英语课时，我们特别激动-----马上就要学英语了。“你们愿意学习英语吗？”她一脸笑容地问我们。“愿意！”“你们想学好英语吗？”“想！”这勾起了我们极大的兴趣，从此，我们的英语课开始活跃起来。
后来，英语越来越难，我听着一个个英语单词，可以用四个字来形容----稀里糊涂。成绩一直中上中下的我，在课堂上就是个“隐形人”，现在变得更“隐形”了。但这样一件事改变了我的命运：刚上四年级，我的死对头蒋文就把我的`英语书往对台上一丢，再也找不回来了，我只好看同桌的，但更多时间，傲慢的同桌总是把手一遮，我只好一个人读着“望天书”，但Msyan注意到了，向我询问了原因后，给了我一本崭新的英语书。在分组时，她还让我当上了英语小组长。从此，我开始认真学习英语了。功夫不负有心人，期末考试时，我的英语成绩赶上了一大截，我的信心也越来越大了。
暑假里，我不假思索地报了她的补习班。她仍推行她的加分制，并给我们每个人都取了英文名字，并在每周对加分高的小组进行奖励，大大提高了我们的兴趣、积极性，参与性也越来越浓。更绝的是，她让我们看动画片学音标，记得特别牢。
升上五年级，我的英语成绩已经大幅度上升了，这对于英文一窍不通的我是一个转折性的改变。这是奇迹吗？不-------这是我的英语启蒙老师对我的关心与鼓励。
我真诚地对她说一声：“Thank you！”
